By the way this takes place in Lovers Lane.

L/N = Last Name

I sighed happily as I dropped my two suitcases in front of a house I'd never been in. Judging by the outside it was pretty big, so there should be plenty of room for just me. As I admired the outside of my new home, my phone bleeped. I shoved my hand in my pocket, dug around for a bit, before finally pulling it out successfully. I opened my phone and looked to see what had made my phone go off. I realized it was from the moving company that should be shipping all of my things to my house today. "Hello Ms.L/N. Unfortunately due to where you are relocating, it will take us another day to ship all of your possessions. We are incredibly sorry for the inconvenience and we will do our best to have your belongings shipped as soon as possible". I let out a loud groan. First I had to spend hours driving in a hot car with barely any stops, and now this? I guess I'll be sitting on the floor for awhile before the company arrives.

I took one more moment to sigh, and then plastered a smile on my face. Despite all of these things going wrong, I wouldn't let them get me down. Not today. Because today, I'm finally going to reunite with my old friends. Aphmau, Aaron, Garroth, Laurence, Dante, Travis, Lucinda, Kawaii~Chan, and most importantly, Katelyn. My best friend. The friend who was always there for me in dark times. The friend I haven't seen in seven years.

After highschool ended, me and my friends went our separate ways. Though we were so far apart, I managed to keep in contact with most of them. Me and Katelyn talked every day, and on almost all of our video calls Kawaii~Chan would interrupt and ask if I was dating someone so she could ship me. Man, that girl can be a pain sometimes, but I know she means well.

In fact, Kawaii~Chan is the only one who knows who I am. In highschool I told her in the bathroom that I was lesbian/bisexual/pansexual. To my surprise, she was completely understanding and accepting of me. She also swore that she would never tell a soul. But I knew that since that day she had been secretly shipping me and Katelyn. I didn't really mind, but I knew that Katelyn can get mad at KC about the shipping from time to time.

I sucked in a deep breath and slowly tried to ease my heartbeat. I told Katelyn and KC that I would be moving to their street soon, but I didn't say when. I tried as best as I could to keep this day a surprise for everyone. I hadn't seen them in so long, so this day is really important to me.

I looked over at the house to the right of mine. I stared at it for a second before walking over to it. I remembered Katelyn telling me where she lived so I could grab a house next to hers. She also told me that ever since Aphmau moved in with Aaron that she and KC shared a house, so I was excited to see them.

I closed my eyes and tried to calm myself. "It's okay Y/N. I know you haven't seen them in a long time, but It'll be fine", I said attempting to calm myself. Slowly, I raised my shaking hand to the doorbell. My finger landed on it, and in a moment of truth, I pressed. I just barely heard the RING from the outside, and the sound of footsteps getting closer. My body stiffened so much that I felt like concrete. I was still shaking, and started to shake more as I saw the doorknob turn. I had the urge to close my eyes, but managed to keep them open as the door swung open. When I saw who was at the door, a smile appeared on my face as I saw my old friend.

I immediately recognized the cat ears and long pink hair as the meif'wa looked at me and did a double take. Her tail swung from side to side and her eyes filled with tears as she covered her mouth in shock.

I giggled nervously. "H-Hey Kawaii~Chan", I said, trying not to make it obvious I was about to burst. "Y/N~Sama?" Kawaii~Chan said, shaking more than I was. A loose tear ran down my face. "In the f-flesh", I stuttered, so happy to see my old friend.

"Y/N~SAMA!!" KC exclaimed before almost jumping in my arms. For such a petite girl KC gave some bone-crushing hugs. I ignored the fact my blood wasn't flowing anymore, laughed, and hugged her back. We stayed that way for a bit before releasing each other.

"OH MY IRENE! KATELYN~SAMA TOLD KAWAII~CHAN THAT Y/N~SAMA WAS COMING, BUT SHE DIDN'T KNOW IT WOULD BE TODAY! KAWAII~CHAN IS SO HAPPY TO SEE YOU!!" Kawaii~Chan exclaimed, clearly excited and jumping for joy. Quite literally.(God all the third person is confusing).

I laughed and smiled. "I know! I wanted today to be a surprise! I wanted to surprise everyone on the street!" I said. KC giggled. "Well you certainly surprised Kawaii~Chan! Seriously, it's been so long! Kawaii~Chan knows we've talked on the phone, but Kawaii~Chan missed you!" KC said before pulling me into a (softer) hug. I tried to say something else, but I was cut off by a voice from inside the house.

"Hey Kawaii~Chan, who's at the door?" the voice called. I felt my heart nearly stop as I recognized the voice. Kawaii~Chan looked at my expression and her eyes lit up. Oh no. The shipping. "Come see for yourself Katelyn~Sama!" KC called into the house. I heard a groan, and then footsteps that seemed to be coming closer to the door.

I started shaking again. Violently. My heart was going over 100 miles an hour, and I was sweating more than anyone should sweat.

Finally, after what seemed like forever, someone arrived at the door next to KC.

Her icy blue hair was what caught my eye first. It was the same shade of blue in high school, so it hadn't changed. I always loved it. I then looked into her sky blue eyes, which caught mine as we made eye contact. Her eyes widened as she saw me. Her mouth fell agape slightly, and she seemed to be in shock. Just as I was.

KC looked at us both and smiled. She was handling her inner fangirl very well. "Kawaii~Chan will let the two of you have some alone time", she said sweetly before heading back inside the house.

My eyes never left Katelyn's as we just stared at each other for the first time in what seemed like in a while. Tears clouded my eyes once again as I stood in front of my best friend for the first time in years. My mouth shakily curved upward into a smile. Katelyn, who was still in shock, let a small tear flow down the side of her face. Katelyn almost never cried, so this was a rare event.

Finally, after what seemed like us standing there forever, Katelyn spoke. It was soft and quiet, which was unlike the fiery girl, but it was still there. It was just above a whisper, and if I was any further away from her, I wouldn't have heard it.

"Y/N....you're back".

I chuckled softly.

"I never left".
