"I know, but it don't match with my costume." Charlotte said and shrugged. She had been looking forward to this party for so long she wanted everything to be perfect.

"Your costume is awesome. Everyone will be looking at you tonight." Lily said and Alice agreed. Charlottes costume was a playsuit with green leaves covering it, she was dressed as poison ivy. It went perfect with Charlottes red hair that was loosely curled and she had on dark lipstick and dark eye makeup.

"Thank you." Charlotte said and blushed a little. She felt a little exposed with this little clothes on, but she still felt amazing. The other girls had a little more simple costumes. Lily was dressed in a red dress and a red cloak with a hood, she was dressed as little red riding hood. Alice was dressed as minnie mouse, and Frank was dressed as mickey mouse. Alice had on a red polka dotted dress with a bow on her hair in the same material.

The boys were talking, waiting for the girls before they would down to the party together. They had left a little before the girl and was now standing in the corridor waiting for the girls. They were all looking forward to the party and were getting impatient with the girls being late. None of the girls had said anything about their costumes so this were one of the big topics the boys were discussing waiting for the girls to arrive.

"Why haven't they told us anything about their costumes?" James asked getting impatient. He didn't understand why they hadn't said anything. Why did they want it to be a surprise?

"They clearly wanted it to be a surprise." Remus said and rolled his eyes. James had been doing this for he didn't know how long and it was getting on everyones nerves.

Sirius was thinking the same thing as James, but he was keeping quiet. The only thing he wanted right now was to talk to Charlotte. He wanted to ask why she had been ignoring him for two days and he wanted to know why. The boys continued to argue about the girls, or more about how James were stressing out about it when the girls joined them.

Sirius couldn't take his eyes of Charlotte when he saw her. She took his breath away, she was so beautiful. Her costume was showing of her curves perfectly and the green in the leaves complimented her hair and skin tone perfectly. It showed of her long legs that ended in a pair of green heels.

"Finally." James said and let out a big sigh, being a bit dramatic. The girls laughed at him and shook their heads.

"We aren't that late." Alice said and the girl nodded agreeing with her.

"It takes times to look this perfect." Charlotte said and pointed to herself and gave the boys a wink. The boys all laughed except for Sirius. He was still staring at Charlotte, not being able to stop looking at her.

"Let's go, I want to party." James said and put his arm around Lily before leading the way towards the party. Alice was walking next to Frank with his arm around her. Charlotte didn't know were to walk, she was ignoring Sirius and she could see him trying to get her attention. With her arms around her body, still trying to stay warm, she walked over to Remus.

"Hi." She said smiling up at him and he smiled back and greeted her back. Charlotte started up smalltalk during the walk, still trying to ignore Sirius.

"Are you cold?" Remus asked when he couldn't help noticing how Charlotte had her arms around her body and shivering all the time.

"Yeah, a little." Charlotte shrugged, not wanting to make a big deal about it.

"Come here." Remus said and pulled her in to his body trying to keep her warm. Charlotte couldn't help but to lean even more in to him. They both knew that this didn't mean anything, it was only two friends holding on to each other when one of them was cold. Someone that didn't see it like that though was Sirius. He couldn't help but to glare at them, feeling the jealousy spread through him when he saw one of his best friends arm around Charlotte.

Later that night the girls were dancing together and having fun. They had all been drinking a little and Charlotte was having a really good time. She hadn't talked to Sirius all night and wanted it to stay like that. Lily and Alice had asked her why she was avoiding him but she had just played it of like it was nothing. But with a little talk to each other they decided to help keeping Sirius away from her. It had been hard but they had done a good job. They couldn't say that Charlotte hadn't gotten attention from anyone else. Everyone had been looking at Charlotte the whole night, she was the center of the party.

"Lottie can I talk to you?" Sirius asked when he finally had gotten her alone. Alice was busy dancing with Frank and Lily was with James. He was looking at her with pleading eyes, he just wanted to talk and get to know what is wrong.

"Can we do it later?" Charlotte said not meeting his eyes. She didn't want to do this now, she wanted to enjoy the party and not thinking about the whole thing. It was so much that was going on in her life that she wanted to forget it for just one night.

"No, we have to talk about this now. I have been trying to talk to you for the last two days." Sirius was now grabbing Charlottes arm to make her follow him out from the party so they could talk. Charlotte hated to be dragged but she let him. She knew this was something that would happen, so she just followed him.

"Now, tell me what's wrong? Why have you been avoiding me for the last two days?" Sirius said with a hard look in his eyes. He didn't want her to see how much she was hurting him so he tried putting on a cold mask.

"I haven't been avoiding you." Charlotte lied. She couldn't tell him the truth so she didn't want to talk about it.

"Don't lie to me Lottie. Tell me why you have been avoiding me!" Sirius almost yelled at her, getting frustrated with how she was lying to him.

"Why can't you tell me what's wrong?" He was getting madder and madder, he just wanted her to tell him whats wrong.

"It has nothing to do with you." Charlotte tired this time, not being able to fool him this time either. He sighed and was getting even more frustrated with her. He ran both his hands through his hair, almost screaming.

"If it has nothing to do with me then why did you start to ignore me the day after we kissed? The day after we had an amazing day together?" Sirius yelled at her and he could see it in her eyes that he was hitting the right spot, just that she didn't want to tell him.

"You wouldn't understand." Charlotte mumbled. Her arms were crossed over her chest and she was looking down on her shoes. Her hair was hanging in front of her face covering it from Sirius to see.

"Then tell me! You cant ignore that something happened that night!"

"Yes I can. It didn't mean anything." It broke Charlotte heart saying this to him.

"You can't say that. I know that it meant something to you!" Sirius said trying to not let his voice break. He didn't want to believe what she was tell him right now. How she was telling him that it didn't mean anything. Sirius didn't know what he would do if this was the truth.

"No it didn't." Charlotte said still not meting his eyes.

"Stop lying to me!"

"I'm not lying to you!"

"Why can't you admit to yourself that you love me?"

"Because you're dead! Okay!"
