Your friend has been depressed for a while now, but has been "clean" for longer then she thought she would. Clean meaning she hasn't been cutting for a while. Tonight you and this friend are going to meet up at her place. You take your Chevy pick-up truck and drive all the way across town to your friends house. While you are driving you get this random chill along with a teeth chattering thought. You try to keep your mind off of it and gradualy speed up by instinct. You don't think about it too much but little do you know you should listen to your self sometimes.

when you arive at your friend's house, you step out of the car and get that chill again. Maybe it's just cold, you think to yourself. you run over to the front  door and hit the door bell. your friend holds the door unpatiently. You greet eachother with hugs and lounge on the couch. "You ok?" you ask your friend. "Yes." she says quickly. She excusses her self to the bathroom and rushes up stairs.

She's been gone for quite a while but you just wait silently. You start to hear soft crying so you lift your head and lift yourself out off of the couch with your hands. That soft cry slowly turns into hard breathing and then quickly into phsycotic laughter. You run up stairs with unstable knees but make it to the bathroom with out tripping. You swing the door open and uncover a disturbing sight. Your friend is slowly bleeding out. You secretly knew she wouldn't be able to take but say you do to give her confidence in her self.

You scream and grab a towel and attempt to push it on the gushing wound but your friend is pushing you away constently saying, this is what I want, this is what I want, this is what I want. You are now breathing harder then your friend. She is basicly fighting for her life so she can end it. Your crying and shaking while your friend is just smiling and acting like it's a game. Her finnal words where, "I can't take it anymore, this life is way to hard. People don't want me here anymore, which great cause I don't want me to be here either."

You don't even bother to call 911. You don't even get help from anyone. After she stoped squirming and breathing, so did you. She was your only friend and you felt like your friend felt. You where depressed too but never really shared that information with your friend. You wanted to be someone that she could look up to not worry for. You felt like you served no poupose, so to end it all, you did the same as your friend... cut just once and change everything forever...
