Rain
unedited;
Drip, drip. Drop.
The sound of raindrops were like music to his ears. He could watch the rain by his apartment window all day if he could. It was so soothing he could fall asleep. He could actually think peacefully.
"Honey,"
His head twisted to the left, where a young woman stood, dressed in a white robe, her blonde curls tied into a ponytail.
He answered in a annoyed voice. "What, Gabby?"
The woman, who's name appeared to be Gabby crossed her arms, leaning on the door frame. "Why are you up so early?"
"Early? It's 9."
Gabby cat walked towards him, sat on his lap and wrapped her arms around his neck, leaning in for a kiss.
He sighed, and pushed her away. "We need to talk."
"We can save that for later." She leaned in again. This time, he pushed her off.
"This isn't working out."
The rain had gotten heavier.
Gabby frowned. "What?"
"I..." He sighed again, and turned to look at the window, when something at the park across his apartment caught his eye.
He squinted his eyes, Is he mad? He awkwardly stared at a figure in a pink raincoat dancing alone in the rain.
"You what, Winn?" Gabby asked.
Winn shook his head. "Nevermind, I'm gonna go out for awhile."
"But it's raining."
Without hesitation, Winn took his blue rain coat, black umbrella and stormed out the apartment, he rapidly tapped the elevator down button until it finally dinged and opened.
Outside, was windy and cold. The rain had gotten heavier. Luckily, there had been no lightning. He made his way to the park and approached the dancing figure in the rain.
"Sir, I don't think you should be out here. You'll get sick."
The figure stopped and turned around, tilting his head.
Correction, her head.
The figure pulled down her raincoat hood, revealing strawberry red hair. "You can't tell me what to do. And I'm a Miss, not a sir thank you." And continued to dance.
It was hard for Winn to see who the woman was, "Sorry. What are you dancing to? There's no music."
She stopped once again. "Stop talking will you."
"You're going to get sick."
"Why do you care so much?"
"Because why not?"
Even if it was hard to see, Winn could clearly see her roll her eyes as she continued to dance.
He raised an eyebrow. "Would you at least tell me what you're dancing to?"
"No."
"Please."
"No."
"Please."
