Izel

"Please stop!" I cried as he threw punch after punch to my face.

"Who told you to speak?" He yelled and spit in my face.

"I-I'm sorry!" I cried louder.

I was hoping he'd stop. I really had to throw up. He threw one more jab to my face and left.

I crawled to my trash can and threw up nothing but blood. I hadn't ate or drank anything.

When I was done, I struggled to get up and make it to my bathroom. I stood as best as I could and I brushed my teeth and took me a hot shower.

I sat up under the water and started to think what it would be like if my real dad was here.

I'm sure he wouldn't treat me like this. No man should treat their daughter/stepdaughter in such way. I turned the water off and dried off and put cocoa butter over the new whelps and bruises I had on me. I threw on my too small clothes and laid in my bed

There was a knock at my door and I saw my stepdad walk back in.

"You start your new school tomorrow. Be up by six or i'm leaving your ass to walk." He said with a harsh tone then slammed my door.

We just moved here and things weren't going well at all. I wasn't ready to start a new school simply because kids are really judgmental these days about anything.

I sighed and went to sleep.

I woke up the next morning and did my morning routine really quickly. I threw on my clothes and grabbed my shoes and my bag and walked downstairs.

"The hell is wrong with your hair?" My stepdad mean mugged me.

"I didn't have time to flat iron it." I spoke.

I have 4A type hair and he hates when I wear it naturally. He liked for it to be up in a ponytail or bun or flat ironed. My hair was already breaking off a bit and I wasn't trying to do anymore of those styles, so I wore it down.

He did a deep sigh before pushing me out the door.

I got into his hummer and we drove about thirty minutes to my school.

"Now listen.. Don't tell anyone where you live. I mean it. If a teacher is concerned about this." He pointed to my bruises "Tell them you fell. Got it?" He looked at me.

I nodded quickly "Got it."

"I won't be picking you up. You're going to have to walk. Now get out." He opened the door and pushed me out.

I hissed in pain because he pushed my arm where the biggest bruise was.

I picked up my book bag and walked through the school doors nervous as ever. I looked down at my schedule and I saw my locker number and combination at the top corner.

I looked around and the halls were really crowded so I could have passed it.

"Hey, You look lost" Some girl came up to me.

"I-I need to find my locker." I moved my hair out of my face.

"Hmm." She looked at my locker number "That's over here. Come on." She took my hand as we battled through the crowd.

We stopped at my locker and I thanked her. "Thanks." I said low.

"No problem. I'm Celeste by the way. What's your name new girl?" She smiled.

"Izel.." I put my combination in and opened the locker. Nothing but trash fell out.

"Yea.. this is kind of an old school. Just clean it and make sure it's always locked, then no one will put trash in there." She giggled.
