Chapter 21

Tris pov

It's been 3 months since the accident and since Amelia was born. We call her Amy for short though.

It's been a hard 3 months dealing with the new baby and my nightmares. I've been having these nightmares about that day. I haven't had one in a while and I hope they don't come back.

Tobias and our friends + family have been so supportive and have really been there for me.

It's sucks that I can't have any more kids at all but Tobias and I said that if we wanted more children then we would have to talk about the options.

I flatten the dress I'm wearing and put a strand of hair behind my ear.

"Tobias how do I look. I don't want your family to think I'm some ugly twit" I say to him as we stand in the kitchen getting snacks together.

Tobias Aunt, Uncle, and cousin are coming over today from New York. They came to Chicago to visit the family, so they're making a stop at our house to see Amy.

Tobias parents are also going to be here too.

"Babe you don't look like an ugly twit. You look gorgeous. What even is an ugly twit" he says and I giggle pecking his lips.

"You know an ugly twit?" I question and he laughs bringing his face closer to mine with a smile

"I have no idea what you're talking about so I'm just going to kiss you" he whispers before his lips touch mine

"Okay" I whisper back and our lips connect. I lean against the kitchen counter and let him kiss me.

He starts to unzip my dress but I pull away and giggle

"Not now, your family will be here any minute and Amy is right in the living room in her playpen" I say

"We'll be quick and she won't even see us" he says kissing my neck and I sigh letting him.

Before anything intense happens we're interrupted by a knock at the door.

Tobias kisses my head and runs over to answer it, while I fix my dress and hair. I go to the living room and grab Amy from her playpen.

She lays her head on me and I hold her tight while I walk over to the door with Tobias to greet whoever is there.

"Hello, you must be the lucky lady Tobias is madly in love with" A man says and I smile. He must be Tobias uncle

"Well yes I am. Hi I'm Tris, it's nice to meet you" I say shaking his hand

"Hello tris, I'm Philip, Tobias uncle. This is Mary, my wife also Tobias Aunt and this is our son Kyle and his girlfriend Jenna" Philip says introducing himself

Tobias quickly welcomes them inside since it's a little chilly outside. We all gather in the living room.

"Awe babe look at the baby" Jenna says pointing to Amy

"Oh yes how could we forget the star of the show. Little miss Amelia Grace how are you" Mary says walking over to me and bending down to see the baby.

"Want to hold her" I ask

"Sure. I haven't held a baby in so long" she says smiling as I hand her Amy

Tobias parents arrive a few minutes later.

"There's my beautiful granddaughter" Evelyn says walking over to Jenna who was holding Amy.
