Zombies and Role plays!

Start from the beginning

The local Zombie appocalypse.

If this day could get worse, I would be surprised. I crept along the bloodied hall ways, a baseball bat tight in my hand. The lights were flickering, making it harder for me to see, but I could hear them.

Their horrible, stomach churning cries as they crawled along the hallways within the school, searching for food. Like me. Thankfully, the cries seemed on the other side of the school, and my destination was a few meters away. I ran the last distance, not caring about the sound my footsteps made in the hallways as I flung open the door, and closed it behind me, now looking at the faces of my scared-shitless class mates. I flicked the lights on, and dumped down the bag. My friends jumped at it wildly, trying to get to the bats first.

"CALM IT!" I yelled, glaring at them all as they froze, guilty expressions on their face.

"There's enough bats for everyone, now shut it before you get... their attention." I hissed and they nodded, each getting a bat in a more orderly fashion.

"Ok. So from all the zombie films I've watched, try and hit them in the head with all your strength. If not, hit and run for your life." I said, giving them advice. Truthfully, I had no clue. All the movies said that trauma to the head would kill them.

Who am I kidding... I'm a twelve year old trying to coach twenty kids on how to survive a freaking appocalypse. But all I can do is hope we survive.

"Any questions?" I asked, feeling strangely like a teacher. Several hands went up.

"Courtney." I said first, seeing as though she's my best friend and cousin.

"How are we meant to see in the hallways? And will we be in groups?" She asked. I nodded, ready to answer.

"Use your phones. I don't care if they cost you a fortune, do you want to live? And you will all be in groups of five for safety." I said, recieving several groans in response.

"We have to leave this class room, otherwise we will all die. Everone sort your self into groups, Jadeen, Courtney, Azita and Alanna with me." I said loudly, and watched as everyone scuttled towards eachother, rushing to get into groups.

After several minutes, I opened the door, and me and my group went out first, gulping. This was no game, this was life or death.

"We are going to clear out the P.E department, they might have more efficient weapons, although there will be more zombies there. Got it? Be brave guys, we can do this." I whispered, even though I didn't sound very convincing.

Our group navigated through the halls, and thankfully had avoided the zombies so far. Tears stung at my eyes as we passed corpses of our friends, and teachers but I refused to let them fall, instead i fueled my self with anger and hate as we approached the door's towards the playground.

Outside, seven zombies slowly limped up and down the playground, unaware of our presense as we silently opened the door and snuck outside.

It was cold, freezing in fact. I wanted to go back inside, but we had to do this, it was our only chance.  I walked further to the playground, keeping to the walls as my eyes never left the zombies.

The five us were half way down the stairs when a crow cawed loudly above us, causing several hungry zombie teachers to turn in our direction. I winced, fear setting in for the first time.

Zombies began running, or in some case limping fast towards us. I automatically raised my bat, the others copying my actions. Our former form teacher was first to reach us, and Courtney whacked her in the back of the knee's, sending her to the ground. She went to get up, but when I brought down my bat as hard as I could onto her skull, she fell limp with a sickeninng crack. I winced, I had never killed anything before that wasn't in a video game. Even if it was already dead.

Alana and Azita were already taking down another teacher, so me and Courntey set to work, whacking wildly at them. Three surounded us, and my back hit the wall when one went to grab my shoulder, no doubt for a bite. I held in a scream and whacked her neck, killing her. The small group of zombies were now dead, but more would no doubt be coming because of the noise we made. I ran down the playground, my group followed me thankfully un harmed. The P.E department was now in sigh, and I ran even faster, but I was too late to see that as I turned the corner, a zombie was there. I fell flat on my back, as did the Zombie. I scrambled upwards, but not before it got a hold of my ankle.

I growled and smashed my foot into it's face as it crawled near, and leaped to my feat, and practically crashed my bat down onto it's skull repeteadly until it was nothing but an unrecognizable mush of rotten flesh.  Blood besplattered my clothes, and I walked towards the doors, panting.

I prayed there were no zombies, and thankfully, there was only one inside.

Unfortunately, that zombie was a former friend of mine from Primary school. I didn't want to kill her, but it was a case of kill or be killed. She lunged towards me, and it was too predictable. I side stepped and raised the bat so she ran into the bat full speed. She dropped dead as well.

"We're here... Thank god..." I whispered, and smiled in relief as we went into the equiptment room, and was met with the sight of thousands of items that could be used as a weapon.

"Get anything that you think is better to use as a weapon." I instructed them as I picked up a light plastic bat that would be easier to manouver.

You made a mistake, Zombies. Be ready to die... For a second time.
