There was a pause.
The kind of pause that makes insecurity surface. The kind where someone usually will break the quiet to say, "Well this is awkward..."

We were all there together. We ate together and laughed together. If someone had walked in they would have hardly known that the celebration was a farewell party.

We all said our sentiments to the ones who were leaving us. Some of us cried, others relived funny memories, and some didn't even know the people departing.

But we came to this pause. All of us just sitting there in silence, looking into each other's eyes. It was a moment where we understood one another, but there was still an overwhelming love in us, for us.
