Going downstairs

Tatiana continued to look at me with a kind smile as she said" Don't worry about it. They won't yell at you while there are people here, so let's go downstairs and see some of the other people. Does that sound like a good idea? " I looked down at my feet and then said "okay" I then started to walk beside her as we decended down the stairs to the main hall. I led her to the table where drinks were being served. I grabbed a cup of grape juice while she had a tea with 1 sugar. Tatiana then led me to a table quietly situated in the corner or the main assembly hall. To me this felt a bit weird as I had never had a real conversation with some one who was not a part of the care home. But after five minutes I was starting to enjoy it.
