Rick's POV

"Ughhhh..." I groaned as I held my head. I sat up and stretched. "Shit, my head hurts." I said hissing in pain as I strained my eyes. My eyes finally focused on Beth, who was sitting next to me with her arms crossed. "H-Hey, sweetie. What did I miss this time?" I asked noticing how pissed she looked. She just glared and furrowed her brow even more. Shit, what did I do now? I asked myself. Suddenly, Jerry stepped in furious as well, but less threatening. "I can't believe you Rick! You crossed the line this time! I think we should put you in rehab for your alcoholism!" Jerry shouted. I raised an eyebrow, "The hell is your deal?" I asked.

"Jerry, please shut up." Beth said pinching the bridge of her nose. Beth here, to save the day from her idiot husband. I thought. "Leave the scolding to me." Wait, what. "Dad, what we were trying to say is that we've been thinking of sending you to rehabilitation for your drinking problem..." Beth said smiling worriedly.

"WHAT? WH-WHERE IS THIS COOO-URP-OMING FROM?" I asked starting to panic. "You, kind of lashed out at (Y/N) for no apparent reason..." she said trying to hide that she was also panicking. "WHAT? Don't sugar coat this Beth! H-he called her worthless and that she should just die! He is a monster!" Jerry yelled while pointing at me accusingly. Beth was about to say something when I interrupted her, "Wait... what... I did that?" I asked trying to recollect what happened. I had a fuzzy and hazy memory of yelling and scaring the shit out of (Y/N). "Fuck, I guess I did yell at her. God, I feel terrible." I said rubbing the back of my neck. "Where is (Y/N) now?" I asked suddenly realizing she wasn't in the room.

...

"You threw up on her." Beth and Jerry said at the same time.

Reader's POV

Rick stood there awaiting for a response. I just sighed and walked past him. He is dangerous and I can sense it.

"Thank you so much for the dinner, your hospitality, and the clothes. I'll return it tomorrow." I said opening the front door. The Smith's all said their byes, except Rick. I walked through the door and closed it. I shuffled down the concrete steps and slowly walked across the street. I heard the front door open and saw Rick close it behind him. He stood there silently, burning a hole into my back with his stare. I paused in my tracks and turned around. His eyes were full of sorrow, the same sorrow that I saw on his face when he put his head between the laser. It was almost a full ten seconds of us staring that I finally broke.

I ran to him.

I hugged him.

As I stood there with my arms around him, he slowly wrapped his arms around me. I could hear his heartbeat quicken.

"It's okay Rick, I forgive you." I said softly into his chest. I felt him hug me a little tighter. "I'm glad." he said. We both released our hug and I turned around waving goodbye with a smile on my face. He waved goodbye and I reached my front door taking a deep breath. I felt tired and threw my things on my couch and quickly locked everything up before slowly making my way upstairs. I slumped onto my bed and pulled the covers over me and quickly went to sleep.

Time skip brought to you by (Y/N)'s dreams of Rick~

I woke up with a yawn and stretched out my muscles. I quickly did my morning routine and went downstairs to eat breakfast when I got a knock at my door. I turned around and looked through the peephole and saw that it was Morty. I unlocked the door and opened it revealing the nervous boy. "Morning Morty." I said messing with his hair a bit. He laughed and blushed, "M-Morning (Y/N)." I looked up at his house and then back at him. "So, you here for your clothes?" I asked. "Oh, well n-no, I was here because Rick said he wanted to invite you onto one of our adventures into space and different dimensions." Morty said rubbing the back of his head.

I looked at him dumbfounded and mouth wide open. "W-what?" I asked. "Oh, and mom said you can come over for breakfast since well... dinner was ruined haha." he said smiling. "B-b-bu...wha? Dimensions? Space?!" I asked confused. "Oh, haha yeah... sorry forgot you're not used to this... we'll explain it later." Morty said laughing nervously. "Um...Okay then... I'll come by in ten." I said trying to analyze what the hell was going on. "Great! See you then!" He said waving as he ran off.

What the hell am I getting myself into?

---

I just finished my breakfast and handed back my borrowed clothes to the Smith's when Morty grabbed my hand and lead me to the garage. We stepped into the garage and I looked around. It looks pretty much the same as how I saw it last, accept there was a huge, UFO looking spacecraft in the center of the garage.

"Wow, so we really are going to space...oh my god..." I said realizing how amazing this was. I always thought I had to go through impossible and extensive training to even be considered worthy of going into the atmosphere... but here I am, two minutes away to having an experience of a life time. "Yep, that's what I thought when I first started going onto adventures with Rick." Morty said looking at the ship. Suddenly, Rick came through the garage door, shutting it behind him. "You ready to go on an adventure of a life time, (Y/N)?" Rick asked me, gazing at his spacecraft. "Hell yeah!" I said excitedly. I couldn't tell if I was more nervous or more excited but I was for sure ready for this.

"Cool, let's get in." Rick said burping at the end. He opened the door revealing several empty bottles of alcohol crashing down onto the floor. Morty hopped into the back seat and I sat in the passenger side seat. Jeez, he really is an alcoholic. Wait! Is he about to fly us out into space drunk?! I thought to myself getting ready to bail. But it was too late and Rick hopped into the drivers seat with a thud. He grunted something and then started up the vehicle. "Buckle up! We're going now!" he said slamming his hands on the steering wheel. I quickly scrambled to get my seat belt buckled. Suddenly, Morty wrapped his hand around mine. I looked back confused as to why he would do that. "Y-you might want to hold on to something, R-Rick doesn't like waiting so he likes to blast off really quick." Morty said. I was going to say something when all the sudden Rick took off with no warning. It was like a bolt of lightning, I was holding onto Morty's hand for dear life. Until we came to a slow halt.

I slowly opened my eyes and saw a beautiful view of a whole other galaxy, planets that were beautiful and colorful. Ones that I have never even seen before. I sat there, starstruck, staring into the endless abyss that is space. Stars twinkling and other spacecrafts hovering by. "I-I can't believe... this has been here and that I've never seen or heard of this place." I said looking around. "Oh, but it gets better. We are in galaxy P-7895, one that hasn't been discovered by Earth yet. This galaxy is home of the best donuts ever known to the multiverse." Rick said flying the ship over to a nearby cafe that has a huge neon sign that has some other language on it. "Multiverse?" I asked.

"Oh, you have lots to learn." Rick said smirking and pulling the ship off to somewhere else.
