1-1 Invasion

"So many demons!" The valkyrie connected her attacks, slashing at a wave of armored skeletons. Marveille couldn't believe her eyes, valkyries are the direct followers of Odin, king of Aesir but the town girl didn't understand what has happened to her even more. She hid behind the warrior as the moved forward...

The day started like any other, abruptly waken up by her little brother, greeting her father, mother, and best friend... her older brother had even announced that he was going to get married... but when dusk came, cries filled the streets and demons and skeletons was pillaging Marveille's hometown. Everyone ran for shelter but as she was helping her father of a blacksmith carry arms there, they were encircled and Marveille's father sacrificed his well-being in the nick of time. Marveille desperately wanted to help but her childhood friend managed to find her and stop Marveille, persuading her that she must live to another day, then the duo ran to city hall with only a few skirmishes in the way. When Marveille arrived... she was in despair... city hall was ruined and the only people they found was corpses who were destroyed beyond recognition. Her mother and brothers are most likely dead and her father practically died before her eyes. To top things off, her best friend who has protected her so far, died from a surprise attack. Pleading to the girl he adored so much, she ran away from it all in fear. Lost in a city that has been ruined, Marveille finally collapsed and hid herself in the wreckage.

Marveille's vision which was blurred with tears, didn't stop her from seeing the monster. Titanic in size, its snow white fur contrasted from its surroundings, its howl bellowed... and after all of that, Marveille thought she was going to die- Then a dazzling beam shot the beast, the bright light was a turn of actions. Her eyes was drawn to the winged woman in the sky, and she's very similar, no, just like in the legends, she was a valkyrie! Her hopes grew but then they were simply crushed, the dust cloud revealed an unscathed beast and next to him, a little lady who was floating next to the monster was surely not human! An azure beam pushed the valkyrie back but what happened next was inexpressible. A knife separated from the valkyrie, and just like lighting the blade illuminated in a blue glow struck down..

Her body was already aching but Marveille pulled her body forward. Entranced, she grabbed the swords hilt and light exploded. Marveille covered her eyes to only see white spots, but that only provoked her even more to find the valkyrie and return her weapon. While she was defeated, the valkyrie was her slightest faint of hope, Marveille must hold onto it...
