Prologue

Chased

When you're inlove, you do such crazy and stupid things, hindi mo iyon namamalayan. You do it just to make the one you love, loves you back. To make him or her wants you the way you wanted them in your life.

It sucks. But you still do it. You do pathetic things, even breaking them apart- hurting them. You're starting to get selfish. Kasi, you want him or her not to be happy to someone else. Dapat sa'yo lang. Dapat ikaw lang ang nakikita and nagpapasaya sa kanya.

Kahit alam mong hindi mo siya mapapasaya. You still love them unconditionally even it breaks your soul into peaces.

"Aldrich, you're drunk. Umuwi na tayo."

He slightly chuckled on me, namumungay na ang kanyang mga mata tanda ng sobrang kalasingan. "Oh, my little Hannah where's your manners now? You used to call me 'kuya'.."

I chewed my lip, uneasy. Mali yatang sinundan ko pa si Aldrich dito sa loob ng bar na ito. Pero kasi, pakiramdam ko responsibilidad ko siya. Pakiramdam ko, ako ang may kasalanan kung bakit siya nagpapakalango sa alak ngayon.

Guilt flooded all over my body. Nanlamig ako ng maalala ang mga pinaggagawa ko, just to break them up. I did. I finally ruined their damn relationship.

But, am I happy now? No!

'Coz I am fucking guilty! And envy...

I envy Ava. I envy her, big time. How can Aldrich love her this much? And why can't he love me the way he did for her? Am I not pretty? Pangit ba ako?

"You know what? Kasalanan mo, e.. it's all your damn fucking fault!" Aldrich accused me. I stiffened on his sudden burst out.

Tumayo siya sa inuupuang high stool at muntik pang mawalan ng balanse. Dinuro niya ako, his muscles tensed, maging ang kanyang panga ay nag igting din.

"Sana hindi ka na lang bumalik.. okay na sana ang lahat,"

I felt a big pang on my throat.

Sana hindi ka na bumalik. Those words, those simple words break my heart into peaces. He doesn't want me back. Pero 'di ba sabi niya, hihintayin niya ako?

Agad na nagbadya ang luha sa gilid ng aking mga mata. But I managed to hold them back. I refused to cry. I don't want him to see me crying. That was the last thing I want him to see me.

I just stood there, looking vulnerable and hurt in his front. Tatanggapin ko lahat ng masasakit na sasabihin niya because, yeah! Kasalanan ko naman ang lahat. Pero ginawa ko lang naman iyon because I love him so damn much!

"You ruined everything.."

Before his body collapsed on the cold floor ay may sumalo nang mga kamay mula sa kanyang mga likod. Aldrich lost his conscious. He passed out. Mabilis akong napatayo at tinulungan ang lalaking may hawak ngayon sakanya.

"Let's take him out of here," I was suprised to see that it was Luke.

Tumango lang ako sakanya. I helped him carried Aldrich to his car that was on the parking lot of the said bar.

"Where are we taking him? Five star hotel or sa motel-"

I immediately stopped him,"Dammit, Luke! Sa condo niya tayo!"

Tumawa lang ito habang isinasakay sa back seat ang wala paring malay na si Aldrich. Sumakay na din ako sa loob at tinabihan si Aldrich. Inilagay ko ang kanyang ulo sa aking mga hita. Then, Luke started the engine, he drove fast.

"C'mon, babe. It's finally your time to get the love of your life." I looked at him at the rareview mirror. He was smirking that made me annoyed.

"Stop it, will you? And don't babe me, asshole!"
