-We should take the prophets of allah as role models!

(Surah Aal-e-Imran, Verse 42-43

وَإِذْ قَالَتِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ يَا مَرْيَمُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ اصْطَفَاكِ وَطَهَّرَكِ وَاصْطَفَاكِ عَلَىٰ نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِينَ

And when the angels said: O Maryam! surely Allah has chosen you and purified you and chosen you above the women of the world.

يَا مَرْيَمُ اقْنُتِي لِرَبِّكِ وَاسْجُدِي وَارْكَعِي مَعَ الرَّاكِعِينَ

O Maryam! keep obedience to your Lord and humble yourself, and bow down with those who bow.)

Maryam alayha salam was told that Allah swt had selected her as the best of all women and immediately after she was commanded to humble herself through prayer and worship. We have not been given any such message yet how many times have we thought we were better than someone else? These are lessons for us to learn and take heed from. No better role models for us than the anbiya and the awliya of Allah swt.
