THE LADIES

Kim

“That pathetic Captain! Aaahhh!” I said frustrated to myself for allowing that bastard to treat me like that. “Let’s see what he can do tomorrow. I have all the authority to train them and there is nothing they can do to protest whatever it is that they are going to do tomorrow.” I smirk at myself thinking of what to do to give that bastard a hard blow.

I have watched their last game and made some note with regards to their advantages and flaws in the game. Every time I watched games whatever it is I made some comments for myself. It’s for my enjoyment. It makes me feel as if I am knowledgeable or someone who is intelligent enough to pick on someone’s error. Yeah, I just love the feeling of it but I don’t go down people because of their weaknesses. I just want to make it right.

Right! I just need to emphasize those advantages and disadvantages for them to improve what is needed to improve and to make it right, what it is wrong. “Yeah I’m going to do that.” I note to myself.

“Kim!” I was distracted by my thoughts when one of my best friends called my attention. I Look at her and narrowed my eyes, I thought she’s in vacation.

“Hey Van! I thought you're in vacation! I smile at her.

“My god Kim its Vanessa not Van, I’m not a fucking Van in EDSA!” She said rolling her eyes. I smiled at her dramatic answer. “Btw how was your first day manager?” she teased.

“Fine, the pathetic Captain just challenged me. You know him right?” I said.

“Ah, that loser Captain! He’s not that good, you know. We watched the last game and I noticed he can’t handle his teammates that well. And, he doesn’t share that precious ball. He just wants the fame of holding it not the importance of throwing it and presto SCORE!” She said making funny faces. I laughed at her.

“Ha ha ha, I thought so. We have the same observation sis.” I said still laughing. “And, I will beat their asses tomorrow. Let’s see what will happen in my precious training game.” I added.

“Yeah give them that training they will never ever forget but don’t give them everything it’s our dirty little secret right? She smile mysteriously and I know why. I smiled at her in response.

“Btw where are the others, its past ten already they should be here?” I asked.

“Ah, they’re watching “Facing the Giant” again. Tell them to stop watching it I wanted to watch my favorite TV show.” She said pointing to the living room. Because of my situation I forgot that we were still outside our house talking and it’s dark already.

“You know I can’t do that, can I? And I also love that movie. Don’t talk as if you don’t like it, you were crying when they throughout the movie, especially when they won right? I smile at her and headed to the front door to see the others.

“Hi guys!”

“Hi Cap!” They said not leaving their eyes to the screen.

“Oh, Van I thought they love me but I think they love that movie more than me.” I said faking the hurt.

“Yeah, they love that more than me and you!” Van said frustrated. But we don’t get any response. Seriously?

“Ok Van leaves them alone, let’s eat this Ube cake I bought.” I said loudly with a knowing look to Van while walking to the kitchen. She knows it already. Yes, its our favorite.

Presto!, everyone looked in my direction and runs to the kitchen taking their own plate for the cake. Van took that opportunity to grab the remote and change the channel shouting “Thank you sis!” while plopping herself to the couch. Everyone looks at me questioningly. I shrug and took a slice of cake and headed to the living room leaving my little sis saying “Let’s not give Van a cake. She stole our TV.” I smiled at that they are really childish sometimes.

“Van, lets share this cake they will not give you any.” I told her. She knows it already.

“I Know, they always do that eating my food because I stole their TV as if they own it. It’s all ours right?” She said as if she’s deferent. Take note, we are all like that but we love the way we are with each other. We were like sisters that we don’t have.

“Guys you want to go with me and beat that team ass.” I said to them. We are all in the living room now watching FIBA 2014. It is quite amusing how we all shared the same things in our life. How we understand each other more than our parents can do. We all have the same passion and that is Basketball. We all love to play but now we want to focus on our studies first. I already told them my plans as a manager and they all agree and understand and promised to help if I needed.

“Nah… I have a date tom maybe next time if it’s really needed.” Van says still watching.

“I would love to but I will go to church tom, you all know why.” Mel said. We all know why. It is her oath to God for giving her another life. She had a car accident when we were teen and we all thought we will lose her. She was in coma for 3 months and the doctors said there is not much they can do. We waited and prayed for miracle to happen and give her back to us. Thanks to God, she was brought to life again. And it is her way of saying thank you for her new life.

“I have my laundry waiting.” Dangz said not bothering to look in my direction. Too focus with her cake and the game.

“I have family dinner to attend. I will need time to prepare.” Tina said. “And, good luck to them.” She looks at me as if I will do something nasty. I smiled at her.

“I will just stay here and watch Superbook I don’t want to miss an episode.” Jess said smiling from ear to ear. Yeah, she loves that bible series which is kind of good I think.

“Fine guys, I need to prepare something for them.” I said shouting. They all look at me shaking their heads. They know what’s going to happen.

“Yeah, I pity them.”
