Turtle Troubles

Set Up (Part 2)

"Okay don't freak out but I'm gonna throw in the back of the van, roll out the way Leo and the others did!"

"Wait what!?!"

"Sorry April. GUYS WATCH OUT!"

He tosses April to the back and she practically falls out the van door, Raph managed to catch her. When the world stopped spinning she noticed the thing shaking the car had large inflamed feet that were an inusual color, with a hunched back a lopsided face.

"Ah guys.... I think it's another mutant.."

"Hey ugly! Let go of my brother!

Raph charged at it and kicked it in the gut making it drop the car. Mikey and Leo soon follow after chopping at the ankles and hitting it in the face. April ran into join the fight but when she got close enough to the thing here head started to ack, she was getting overwhelmed by feelings of fear, confusion, and what she knew was misplaced rage. Well almost misplaced. She also felt pain, lots of pain. Elsewhere Donnie finally crawls out the van, greener than usual.

"J-just give me a minute..hmpf-!?"

Covering his mouth he runs into an ally, possibly puking chunks.

"Guys stop! I-I dont think he's Aghh!"

For a moment all April could see was white. Then came images, moments even, all broken and confusing. First a glass, the aroma of alcohol burned her nose. Then buzz kill, instead of alcohol there was a  rotten smell as trash, even with the bright light she could see him starting down at her; she felt the impulse to scream. Next there was a girl, around her age staring out an apartment window back towards her, a warm calm washed over her, but it was a short lived, because her eyes stung as that unsettlingly familiar green was the last thing she could see before it all went black.

'Are these his memories....Who was that girl..?'

She woke to Mikey shaking her and yelling her name.

"W-what happened..."

"You passed out and that thing started grilling our shells over easy"

" What?-!?!"

She realized Mikey was carrying her, and from the speed he was going at she didn't even need to look behind him to know they were being chased.

"It's okay Mikey I can run now"

"Not yet.

"I promise I'm fine now, believe me"

"That's not it"

While Michaelangelo was a bit worried about her passing out again but he trusted she knew what she was doing, but she was a lot slower at climbing and jumping buildings, which was how he planned on getting away. He ran into a near by ally and started to climb the fire escape.

It swats at them and shakes the rusty old ladders, trying to make them fall. By the time Mikey reaches the top and puts april down it starts to bash other things in sight its was about to leave the allyway when the turtle van smashed into it sending it back, in seconds it began firing off at it till it was satisfied and moved out. Leo, Raph, and Donatello hopped out and walked towards the ally. Once everyone was back together they all examined the mutant.

"Who do you think sent it?"

Raph asked forming his own mental list, Leo shook his head in disbelief.

"Don't think it was sent. If it was why didn't it kill us while we were in the van?"

"Who said it had to be good at it's job..." (Raphael)

"When you guys were fighting I started to get feelings from him, he was scared, and angry"

Donnie placed both hand on either side of her shoulders astonished.

"You were able to have a psychic connection! how would you describe it? Was it just a feeling because your eyes went white before passing out? I'll need to run some tests when we get back but I mean this could be great progression!"

"Ahhh thanks..."

Donnie, realizing he was making her uncomfortable, stepped back and began to examine the unconscious mutant.

"This is a strange new type of mutant, just by looking at it you can tell it was once human"

"He." (April)

"Sorry He was once human... I wish we could take him back to my la-"

" NO WAY" (Raphael​)

"Yeah yeah, I know."

He pulled out needle, slightly bigger than the ones for shots, and took a sample from the mutant.

"What ever happened to this man will be revealed once I this back to the lair"

"Then lets get going then"

Leo stated heading towards the van, his brothers in silent agreement.

"Um aren't you forgetting something..."

"Uhh hmm. nop-"

Raph started by before Mikey cut in.

"OH NO, CASEY!"

He yelled high tailing it to the van, realization swept over Leo and Raph faces as they soon followed. April jogged after them, Donnie just walked inspecting the blood he just obtained.

'I have a bad feeling about this..'

"What are you a turtle​ or a snail!"

Raph yelled irritability

"Hurry it up!"

"Oh ah, I'm coming."

Safely tucking it away, began to jog towards the van as well, still lost in thought.

"DONNIE HURRY!"

"I said I'm coming  ra-"

He looked up to see worry plastered on his brothers face, he didn't understand why until...

"Ahhhhhggggahhh!!"

The mutant grabbed Donnie by his face and shook him around enraged. He tried to hit it with his staff but it snatched it away throwing it wherever.

"Ugh! Why'd it have to be now!"

Raph yells annoyed as him and the others got ready for the next round.
