Chapter 14

Ryder POV

After Alpha and Beta left, my brothers started making dinner for all of us. I started putting out the plates and adding one more for Demi Jackson, The betas Little sister. I never would have thought Samuel Jackson would have a sister, but it doesn't matter. I felt so upset, Before Kayden could give me his answer if he still wants me to be his mate, Sam told him they had to go to a meeting they were running late on. I was putting the last two plates on the table and I heard a voice I'm not used to

"Hey" the voice said it was a female and I turned around to see Demi.

"Hey Demi, so how you like your new home?" I asked

"It's strange, I feel like I'm an alien in this place but I'll get used to it" she said I couldn't help but notice her height she was about Hazels height which was 5'3 and I couldn't help but feel like an Ant next her or anybody that was taller than me.

"I'm sure you will, I know this place isn't big like your house but it's big for twenty two people to live in" I said and it was also another reason we moved, because our house wasn't big enough for all of our mates to live in. I saw her eyes widen and she looked slightly scared

"Twenty-two Why would you know that?" she asked

"Our mates will live with us of course! Although I would have to move out but that is most likely not possible, other than that guest can also live here" I said trying not to act upset, there was a silence that filled the dinning room, I stared at the gray-green walls until she broke the silence

"Is it wild here?" She said shyly

"Only if it one of us is grouchy, that's when the chaos come in" I said and walked out the room, I stop and turn to look at her

"Oh and don't get use to going out a lot, they're every overprotective to what's theirs" I warned and walked away, I heard her follow me

"Aren't you the Kayden's Mate?" she asked and I froze, I hesitated to answer her. But I did.

"Yes I am" I said and walked up the stairs.

"So aren't you suppose to move in with him? Your our future luna so why are you here?" she said and I chuckle lowly

"I guess you do belong in this family" I said

"What is that suppose to mean?" she said with both hand on her hips

"It mean you like to ask a lot of questions" I said and continued up the steps.

Demi's POV

I saw her walking up the steps, for the first time in my life I felt intimidated by someone. I was usually the one to intimidate someone for fun but when it's the other way around it doesn't sound fun. I tried all of my tricks that I use to intimidate people, I walked quietly into the dinning room to scare her but all she did was look at me as if she sensed me. That was impossible because Sam taught me how to sneak up on people without them sensing me. I try to use Kayden against her but she just stop and she gave me a straight answer! The people I intimidate usually stutter. I didn't like being frighten by her Especially that she's my mates twin sister, I have to remind myself to keep an eye out for her. I hate to admit this but Kayden was right she isn't like any other she-wolf they met before. I walked in the kitchen, where all her brothers were cooking. They were cooking? I thought either the mothers or the Women of the house would cook. I walked to Rylan and he was sitting at the breakfast bar, he was chopping up some vegetables.

"Hey Demi, what up?" he said his voice gave me shivers down my spine and I smiled before I spoke one of his brothers spoke.

"Lala, hurry up Ardy is already making the soup and we need the vegetable to make it" On of his brother said

"Alright, Ren" he said and handed him a bowl of veggies.

"Who's Ren, Ardy and Lala" i asked

"Its our nicknames Raymond is mondi, Richard is Ardy , Ronnie is Ren and Ryder is Deedee but we say Dee for short. Ryder came up with it, so we went along maybe you and Hazel would have nicknames soon" Rylan said why would any one call someone stupid and embarrassing names to eachother? Like I said this place is alien to me, I will get the hang of it but right now I want to be home with Sam, I want to be in my room on my laptop while the other she-wolves make dinner, this place doesn't feel like home. Will I ever feel like I'm home? The dinner was ready and everyone sat Down. Every single one of them didn't look uncomfortable with me here, They looked please that I'm here, in my family it takes a while to adjust the person living where I lived. I stared at them talking to eachother, so far I didn't feel like I was home.

"Hazel how you like the food?" Mrs.Morris asked

"It's delicious, Your boys can really cook, but I want to taste your cooking.what your cooking like" she said

"Way better than ours" Rylan said and laughed I smiled at his laughter and happiness, I wished I had that right now.

"I think I want to cook, what do you say, Mama, is that fine with you?" Hazel asked did she call her mama? that's not her real mother so why would she call her mama? This isn't even her family, it show betrayal to her family.

"Demi, how about you? you haven't tried your food" mrs. Morris asked

"Oh, it's just ...I ate before I came, I'm sorry. "

"Are you okay?" Mr. Morris said

"This place is.....unusual, your life style is every different from other wolves" I admitted

"Yes, yes indeed" he agreed "but we like how our life style is, I hope you do too" he said and I nodded

Once dinner was over I walked to Rylan's room and walk into the light blue bathroom, I lean back against the sink and called Kayden.

"Hello?" he answered

"Kayden it's me, Demi" I said

"Demi! how is it?" he asked

"It's unusual, You were right they aren't like other wolves. Especially your mate" I said

"I know, she's great isn't she?" he said as if he was lost in thought

"She is not what you said"

"What? why you say that!?" he sounded alarmed

"I'm intimidated by her, Kayden, who does that? but she seemed so.........upset" I said

"What!? why!" he almost shouted but he didn't care that she intimidated me at all.

"I don't know I was going to ask you that"

"Damn, I can't be there. not at least for a few days. I missed so many meeting I can't miss anymore, Can you try to find out why? " he said

"Did you not hear me say that she intimidated me! no I'm not doing it" I said

"It's alphas orders, so do it" he said and hung up. I put my phone in my back pocket of my jeans and I walked out, I lay down on Rylans bed and smelled his beautiful scent. first days are hard right? I hope so, I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
