"Hello."

"Hello."

"Why aren't you letting me in?"

"It's not me who's not letting you in. It's them."

Them?

"Class, please be quiet!" The teacher said. "The ending of this school year doesn't mean you can make so much noise!" She cried, desperately trying to make the class listen to her.

"Marianne and Rose, your essay is canceled. You don't need to do it since it's the end of the year and everything." She smiled at the girls sitting on the front line. "You can say that I saved you!"

"Thank you very much, Mrs. Ron!" said Rose. Imagine an angle - you'll see Rose. She had bright eyes that will remind you the sky, bright blonde hair, and chocolate skin. She looked at Marianne through her glasses.

"Oh yeah, thank you, Mrs. Ron! We really appreciate it!" said Marianne with a smile.

No one could stand against her smile; everyone loved it.
She was like a childish spirit: She had eyes so dark you could sink into them, black hair like crow's feathers and bright skin.

Both girls had mysterious scars and some cuts from yesterday's event. Near the ending - that's how Marianne's mother explained - a group of drunken students has started to attack other people, and the girls got involved. The attacked people were sent to the hospital, and it was decided that the girls can continue going to school.

The bell finally rang. It was the end of the lesson.

"Don't be so noisy next time!" Mrs. Ron cried, and the whole class - as always - promised that next time, they would be quiet.

"Come on, Rose. Tell me please..." Begged Marianne. "What do you think about them? There's no other explanation. It's a joke, right?" She handed over her best friend dozens of notes; each one of them said "r.i.p."

"Of course it is!" Said, Rose, while smiling at her. "You don't need to worry about it." She said, taking out the notes she got as well.
"Remember when we talked at Mr. Leon's class?"

"Yes?"

"And he gave us this essay that's - thanks to Mrs. Ron - been canceled?" Her smile is still on her face.

"The ones that he usually gives as a punishment?" asked Marianne.

"Yes. They're very challenging... That's at least what I heard about them. So, if we had to do it..."

"We could be dead because of it?" Marianne started to laugh.

"Exactly!"

But one of the notes - unlike the rest - was very stylish and beautiful and had a big, red rose.

"And here's Lian's hand-writing." Rose looked at it and sighed. "Although I have no idea why she put so much effort into this."

The girls decided to go and ask Lian, but her classmates said that she had left earlier.
"She said she felt terrible because of yesterday's events at the end of the festival." said one of them with a sad smile.

Rose started to feel uncomfortable, like if some of them stared through her.

"That makes sense. Yesterday wasn't easy-" Started Marianne, but Rose cut her.
"We'll be going now. Thank you!" She said and took surprised Marianne's hand, leaving the weird feeling behind them.

'It's like if they blamed me... or felt sorry for me.' Thought Rose.
'What happened to her? We are used to people staring at us because we're so different, but still... Should I ask her?' Marianne hesitated but let it be.

Almost all the students and teachers were at the festival, but it wasn't enough.

They all couldn't stop it from happening.
