The girl gave a sigh of relief, the two walked over to the table to grab some pencils, erasers, and paper for drawing and walked back.

"You're (Y/N), right?"

The girl's copper waves of hair covered her face a bit, adding to her shy personality.

(Y/N) nodded.

"Yep! And you're Emi? I think we had science together last year."

"Oh, yeah. That was a fun class." Emi replied with a little grin.

"Tell me about it! Remember when that one kid slipped and fell-"

Before the girl had even finished her sentence, she landed hard on her butt after tripping over her own two feet.

"Well, that was ironic."

(Y/N) joked as she sat there a bit dumbfounded while dusting herself off.

"(Y/N), is everything alright over there?" The teacher asked while looking over from her desk, to which (Y/N) gave a small nod.

"Oh my gosh! Are you alright, (Y/N)?!"

Emi worriedly looked at the fallen teen as she placed the rest of the supplies on the table.

"Yeah, this is just my everyday clumsiness." (Y/N) explained with a grimace.

(Y/N) turned forward to pick up papers, but instead looked right into two beautiful, emerald eyes. Shiro had picked up most of the papers while she was talking to Emi. (Y/N) stared into Shiro's green orbs for a while before she realized what he was doing.

"Oh... uh, thank you so much, Shiro!" (Y/N) blurted out as she picked up the remaining papers and placed them on the table.

"Yeah, uh, no problem."

Shiro responded quietly, placing the papers he had picked up onto the table. He then grabbed a sheet of paper and a pencil and started silently drawing.

(Y/N) sat down and began to draw as well, and occasionally shared comments with Emi during the class. Shiro had stayed silent the entire time, but (Y/N) was determined to get a conversation out of him.

"So... you're new here, right, Shiro?" (Y/N) asked, and Shiro looked as though he nearly jumped out of her skin as he faced (Y/N).

"Um... yeah..."

Shiro's voice was barely above a whisper. He went back looking back down at his paper to continue drawing.

"So, where did you move from?"

"I... used to live in (whatever city you want)." Shiro replied a little louder.

"Wow! That's really cool!"

"Yeah... I guess."

"What's it like?"

"It has a lot of character I guess."

"Are there a lot of fun things to do there?"

"I wouldn't... really know. I never went out a whole ton... other than the occasional dinner..."

Shiro got quiet again.

"Well, I'm sure there's some fun stuff to do around here."

(Y/N) gave Shiro a wide smile.

"Yeah, I hope so," Shiro replied and gave a small smile.

(Y/N) glanced at Shiro's paper now that she wasn't busy talking, and her jaw dropped.

"Wow, Shiro! You're so good at drawing." (Y/N) practically shouted, mouth agape.

Shiro blushed and looked at his feet.

"Oh, yeah, I draw a lot. It's kind of... a hobby." Shiro said, playing with the hem of his navy blazer and handing the paper over to (Y/N).

"Hobby?! That should be your profession when you're older! Heck, maybe even now..." (Y/N)'s speech slowed as she looked over the intricate details of the drawing.

It looked as though he had drawn a griffin, and it was so detailed that the girl almost believed she could almost touch it. Each line was so precise, and even the shading was really good. To think he had not only done this while she was talking to him, but also that he'd done it with a crappy school pencil.

"Wow, Shiro. You're really good at drawing." Emi said in awe.

"Thanks..."

Shiro was even quieter than before, a
bright blush across his cheeks, as some other classmates had looked over to see what (Y/N) was talking about.

"No problem, it's hard to find someone with your talent to be so humble."

(Y/N) handed the paper back to Shiro. He took back the paper and looked as though he was making a few touch-ups.

"You must be pretty into fantasy, huh?"

(Y/N) stared at the griffin and continued the conversation.

"Um... yeah," Shiro replied, raising his eyes a little and then darting them back down.

"I mean, you must at least be slightly interested if you're going to draw a griffin like that from memory." (Y/N) commented, resting her head on her hand.

"Reading is a fun past time, well besides drawing," Shiro said in a small voice, placing his pencil on the table. "Do you read much?"

"I do my fair share."

"I could... recommend some books if you'd like."

"Yeah, I'd think I'd like that."

(Y/N)'s voice was kind and genuine, making Shiro blush once more.

(Y/N) and Shiro drew a little more until Mrs. Tashiro dismissed everyone to clean up. (Y/N) stuck her paper in her folder and began picking up supplies with Shiro and Emi, and they packed up her things.

"So what class do you guys have next?" She asked enthusiastically to the two conservative teens beside her.

"Math with Mr. Tanaka." They both replied quietly.

"Too bad I don't have my next class with you two, but at least you have a class together. I heard Mr. Tanaka's actually a pretty good teacher."

"That's good to know."

Emi seemed a bit excited, and Shiro just nodded and smiled.

"Well, I hope that I see you guys later!"

(Y/N) bid farewell as she walked to her third class.
