Dom and I walked into school, barely on time for first period. I wanted to get here early in order to say happy birthday to Ayden before class, but my alarm clock chose not to go off.

Instead, I was left with 15 minutes to get ready, out the door, and to school on time.

Nonetheless, we made it.

"Bye Dom!" I called down the hall right before I walked into Mr. Calbri's class just as the bell rang.

Mr. Calbri didn't make a move to start class, despite the sound of the bell that signaled the start of class, so I took it as my opportunity to say happy birthday to Ayden.

"Happy birthday, Ayd." I grinned and pecked his lips when I sat down.

"Thanks, Gabs. I didn't think you'd remember."

"Of course I do!" The first time I went to their laser tag all nighter event. I had decided to sit the last round out because I was tired and Ayden did too; we ended up making conversation and learning a little about each other. Like our birthdays. "February 8th, solid." I repeated his words from the day he told me.

"You were born on March 8th and a half." He teased.

"Do you have plans tonight?" I put my elbow on the desk and put my head on my hand, facing him.

"With you."

I bit back the embarrassingly large smile etching to appear on my face. "Great." I kissed his lips once more before Mr. Calbri stood to begin class.

Ayden wanted to pick me up, but he didn't seem to understand that he can't drive somewhere when he doesn't even know where it is he's driving to.

Obviously I won that battle.

I had to leave to pick Ayden up in 5 minutes so we could get on with his birthday plans, planned by me.

Only problem with my 5 minutes until departure? I've changed my outfit 3 times in the past 5 minutes; I had no idea what it is I want to wear.

With a loud, exasperated sigh, I headed toward my closet to change for the fourth time, but was interrupted by McKenna popping her head into my room.

"You good?" She rose her eyebrow at my room that was littered with several clothing items.

In reply, I groaned and fell backwards onto my bed.

"You're outfit right now is super cute, Gabby. Just wear that." She insisted.

"Are you sure?" I sat up again and looked at her pleadingly.

"Positive. Shouldn't you be going now?"

"Yes, thank you, McKenna. Is Bennet here?" I pulled my shoes on my feet and started toward the door with her right behind me.

"No, not yet. Dom said he's coming later."

"Okay. Thanks again, bye!" I grabbed my keys and called out another goodbye to Dom before I left to Ayden's.

Ayden came outside when I arrived in front of his house looking dashing in his khakis and white shirt that hugged his muscles nicely.
