Torn and musty
Feasted upon by
Bookworms lusty
Centuries worth of
Thrilling adventure
We doff it when
No longer crusty
Ugly it may seem
Lost all its gleam
Yet once it's been
A partner trusty
Behold the grace
Of a sacrifice
An old book made
Don't be so nasty!
