The first visit

It was a warm sunny day. Nope. No, It wasn't. In fact, the moment Angel and her father stepped out of the airport, it started raining. As if the nervousness of visiting her college and finishing the admission formalities wasn't enough. The sky went all grey and decided to hide the fact that it could, in fact, be a warm sunny day but the universe chose not to give her any form of satisfaction.

It was just 7:30 in the morning. And they were told that it'd be an hour's drive to the Law School. They would probably be among the first ones to visit. Just the thought made her nervous.
They got in a cab. And it hardly took 10 minutes for the view of the small town to be replaced by huge fields,  as far as the eye could see. The wind made those grey clouds move slowly, and their shadows played with the huge green trees.  As much as  the grey in the sky depressed her, Angel found herself happy to just look at the beautiful country roads, that they were going through.

An hour later, she found herself standing in front of a larger than life gate. And as they entered and had the first glimpse of the School, Angel felt deceived. Of course she had seen pictures if this school. But those seemed very different.

"What is this? This is not a school! Dad, this looks like a castle!! We are at the wrong place" She said. And both of them knew she was wrong. The bold silver name on the gate said it. The most extraordinary building that she had ever seen, was going to be her home for the next 5 years.

Angel did not know much about architecture but this building certainly made you think about it.
The huge castle-like building, surrounded by lush green grass and trees which looked like they had come down from someone's dreams, the beautiful cobbled pathway and the flag of The Warriors waving in all its glory. Angel was a lucky, happy girl, all of a sudden.

Well this was cool. This is what Harry must've felt when he saw Hogwarts, she thought. Maybe this is it. Maybe this is Hogwarts! She was finally here! And she decided to go in while her father was at the gate, filling up the visitors log book. She could hardly see anyone there, so.. she decided to put down the mask of  this calm composed expression on her face. And she did what she  wanted to do all this time.  She smiled . Smiled like an idiot with dysfunctional cheeks.

It took her a moment  to grasp. The reality of it all. As  she walked past the school gate, the cobbled path greeted her feet for the  very first time and a light breeze brushed through her hair, as if to say 'welcome aboard'. This was certainly good. Why was she even nervous about the visit?

It wasn't hard to find words to describe her feelings, mainly because no one was listening. She could blabber like an idiot. She could get it all out.

She began,"Wow. I can't even-" and down she went.

Tripped over her own shoelaces. Of course. She was gonna be a great lawyer someday. She was about to get up when she saw two feet right in front of her eyes. Those weren't her dad's feet. This was someone else. A student? The first of her classmates that she was gonna see! Wow. This was exciting! She slowly looked up. The blue jeans and then a white button down shirt and then a face. Whoa there! That was some good- looking face! He had great hair. And a jawline that could probably be a murder weapon. And a great smirk if she ever saw one!

He offered his hand. And she accepted it a little too happily. As her palm slipped into his, his grip tightened. His hand felt a  bit warm, but firm. And strong too. She would not mind holding them a bit longer.  He pulled her up without as much as a flinch in his body. Tall, strong and handsome. Yeah. This was a good day for her.

She brushed her clothes with her hands and mumbled  a "Thank you " as of she were  a child. And then  she looked at his eyes. Damn. He had green eyes. The best green she'd ever seen. "I don't quite know what happened there", she mumbled, trying not to get caught up in those amazing green eyes.

"Well. I do." He said with this slight amused smile on his face. " You tripped over your shoelaces. I have 4 year old cousins who'd be way more embarrassed by that than you are" he said. His voice was just perfect. Felt like coffee. Wow. This is so good. This hot guy just talked to her. He told her he had cousins who'd- Wait. Did he just insult her?

Well well. She would take take heat from someone, just because they looked like the human equivalent of those daydream Princes.
"You know-" she began. The green eyed Greek God- uhhm-  villain  smiled a bit, tilted his head  and walked away from her.

She suddenly felt all the heat rush to her cheeks. Oh. Why did she even bother speaking to him at all. Guys like him weren't worth talking to anyway. They had given her hell in school. And they weren't any good either. Just good looking and extremely proud of it. And she wanted to focus on the inner beauty of a person anyway. This was why she never dated. Yes that's it. It wasn't because of the fact that she was awkward around guys or  because  of her super ugly looks which had somehow become average by now. At least according to the latest statistics.

"Come on now Angel. We gotta go to the admissions office", her dad called. Okay. Time to get all formal. She was gonna officially be a student of The Warriors school of law.

Note: Hello there. Thanks  a lot for reading. I know I am not very good or anything. But I could be better. I'd appreciate your feedback. And please vote if you like it. I hope you have a great day!
