Rosaleen

I woke up in the middle of the night again for what felt like the tenth time this week. I got up to stretch a little before I walking over to the case in the corner of the room, opening the case and take out the instrument that I admire so much. I check to make sure everything is in tune, and walked over to my book shelf, took the folder with all of my sheet music out, I chose my favorite, and placed the music on my stand. I sit down and looked it over. My fingers started to move as I played Franz Schubert's Serenade. It's a beautiful piece that usually helps me sleep on night's like these.

Once I finished and I went on to play a piece by Vivaldi Concerto in A Minor in hopes of being able to fall asleep. The small noise of shuffling and a thud, I stopped to find where the noise was coming from before my eyes land on my window to see a glimpse of steel blue eyes peering through the curtains before they shut.

I went back to playing and ignoring the weird action, hoping that soon enough I'll be able to fall asleep even though it doesn't feel like I will be doing any of that tonight. And I knew if I told my dad that he would send me to a doctor since this is my third sleepless this week. I understand that he cares but he also knows that I hate the doctors, they always ask too many questions and I know its their job but its still too much for me.

When I was finished playing I looked over at my clock to see that it was 5:00 am and I only had an hour until I was suppose to wake up for school and gave up all hope of falling asleep knowing that if I do I will still be tired the next day. I took the sheet music for, der erlkönig, by Schubert and start playing.

"Shouldn't a little girl like you be getting her beauty sleep? it is 5 am"

What the hell?

My eyes look towards my window once again to find the curtains that were hastily shut now open with a man standing in the opening of them.

"Hello sweetheart" says the voice but a little louder this time.

I turn to my window to find the person who I thought was watching me, the owner of the ocean blue eyes who lives across the alleyway. We stare at each other for what seems like an eternity to me until he clears his throat. I snap out of my daze trying to find words to say to the man.

"Thank you for your concern but this helps me sleep and I'm sorry if I woke you up uh — sir" I said quietly making me question if he even heard me. "What's your name?"

That's the first chapter, honestly it's really bad, and short so I'm sorry about that. Also the age for both of them is Rosaleen is 17, 18 on December 19th and Luke is 22.

Well yeah that's the end of this chapter and hope you enjoyed this bad chapter but until next time.
