"Yeah, you're right." I said

We went to the kitchen and sat down for dinner. Mom made this amazing pasta thing-a-mabob. Whatever it's food and tasted amazing.

"This is really good ma." I said

"Yeah it's amazing." Hunter said in between bites.

The meal went pretty smoothly, dad telling Hunter pretty much every embarrassing story out there.

"Honey do you remember that time at Gulliver's Island?" he said

"Oh my god dad, please don't." I said

"What happened?" Hunter asked

I put my face in my hands and said,

"You really don't want to know."

"Oh yes you do Hunter"Ryan said

"Thanks Ry, love you too." I said giving him a glare which he just stuck his tongue out to.

"C'mon, now I'm curious, what happened?" Hunter asked

"Well, basically, our family got bikes to ride around the island-" Josh started but I cut him off with

"Don't."

"Ava, your making him curious it's not THAT bad." Aden said

I put my head down on the table and mumbled, "Tell me when you're done."

And then Josh started,

"Ok, so our family went to gullivers island in the summer. We rented bikes to ride around the island, they were 2 seater bikes so it was me and Aden, Ryan and my mom and then Ava and my dad."

"So we had our bikes and everything's going smoothly until we get to a big hill," my dad continued

"We started to go up, but when we went down we were moving really fast. Ava and I of course did not pay attention to how to break so we had no idea how to stop. At the bottom of the hill was a porta-potty that we were about to crash into. So we started yelling that we didn't know how to stop and a young man, probably around your age, walked out of the stall and saw us yelling like idiots and jumped out of the way. But we crashed right into the porta-potty and were in a heap of, bike, toilet paper, and collapsed stall."

Hunter started to laugh hysterically and I picked up my head and said,

"Are we done embarrassing me yet?"

"Nope, remember that time upstate where you set the cottage on fire?" Liam said

Hunter snorted on his drink.

"Family, darling, wonderful family, why don't we talk about something other than my embarrassing moments?" I asked

"Ok, fine. But for the record, there's a lot of those moments with you." Aden said

"Yes, yes I know." I said.

The rest of the meal went by pretty smoothly. Hunter really hit it off with my family.

"So Hunter, where does your family live?" my mom asked

I cringed, I felt for him at this moment. I didn't understand just how lucky I was to have my crazy, totally dysfunctional family that I wouldn't change for the world until now.

"Oh, I'm from Seattle but I came here on my own. I live on west 90th and Riverdale." He answered

"Oh, why that sounds fun! Do you have a roommate?" my mom asked him

"Yeah, it's a little nerve wracking at times living in a box sized apartment with someone else, but we manage." he said

"Well you know Hunter, you're always welcome here." my father said
