Chapter 22 - The Assistants

"Sage? Anong theory mo?" tanong ko sa kanya dahil nakatitig lang siya sa isang print out. Parang isang satellite image ng subdivision namin from Google Maps at may red dots.

"It seems na lahat ng victims are living around our mansion as if the perpetrator is standing exactly in front of our house and absorbed their souls in an instant."

"Baka demons? Sage ang white, yellow at blue medallion ay safe sa isang anti-magic room pero ilang araw na nasa possession mo ang red medallion. Baka natrack ka nila ito?"

"Where's Amos? Did he see anything using the security feeds?"

"Nothing visible. But here's the weird part. Before these deaths occurred, the lamp post lights in these streets started to flicker," sabi ni Elisha.

"Sage, I think there are at least five invisible entities na papunta sa mansion niyo ni Sir Rusty. Did you see it?"

"Nothing Sir. I even used some software to check for anything unusual, we saw nothing."

"Mukhang tayo lang ang nakakita sa kanila Rei. I think you are right, may connection ang medallions dito. Amos, monitor any movements around our house. Elisha, dadating si Rusty bukas. Make sure he's safe."

"Sir Sage, siya ba ang Punong Babaylan?" tanong ng babae sa harap ng sasakyan na nakangiti sa akin. Kasing edad ko lang din at maamo ang mukha.

"I'm sorry for the late introductions. This is Reichel Amber Manahan. And yes, siya ang Punong Babaylan. This is my team leader Elisha, Amos our resident computer genius. Yung nasa unahan, si Francesca and the young driver is Cole."

"Hi super cool team ni Sage. Nice to meet all of you," sabay pabebe wave ko sa kanila.

Mukha naman silang friendly pero they all look dangerous. Sabagay, they are ordinary people na naka encounter ng supernatural beings, somehow, these things will change them.

"It was Rusty who built the team. They are always out of town kaya di nag tatagpo ang mga landas niyo," sabi ni Sage habang naglalakad kami pauwi.

Di ko alam na may mga tao palang tumutulong kay Sage para puksain ang mga Kampon ni Kadiliman. Parang isang team ng supernatural hunters.

"Super cool naman nila! Mukhang bata pa sila ah?"

"They are good when it comes to data gathering. Bihira silang makipag laban sa supernatural creatures dahil wala sila kapangyarihan, pero may mga na encounter na din sila basta may go signal ni Rusty. And yes, they are well trained."

"Gagawa ako ng blades or knives imbued with elemental spells. Magagamit nila yun talad ng blade ni Magawen."
