{Chapter 8} Awkward

"Mom can't I not go?" I whined

"Arin are you sick? Are you hurt anywhere?" She asked, getting mad

"No" I mumbled

"Then you will go and that's final!" She exclaimed with a hint of anger in her voice

I was trying so hard to convince my mom no let me skip school today but I wouldn't call my attempt a success...

Yesterday I spent all day in my room still thinking of Chan. It's not like it was possible to ignore him with all the texts he would sent me, both on Twitter and my phone but I really did not want to talk to him.

I initially blocked him on Twitter but then I realized that he could easily make a new account and follow me so the block of his account would just he uselless so I just ended up closing my account instead not even caring about losing my followers or anything, and opening a new one without following Chan and blocking him from there as well, just in case.

Needless to say I was completely ignoring his calls and texts as well

"Ugh...my life is the worst" I said groaning and waiting for Sehee to come

"Hey" I greeted as I opened the door once she came to my house

"Hey- WHAT HAPPENED?!" she exclaimed upon seeing my face. Yeah, I wasn't looking...great...today. I barely got any sleep last night.

"I'll tell you on our way let's go" I interlinked arms with her and yanked her to the sidewalk so my mom wouldn't hear

"What happened? You look like a mess!" she exclaimed worriedly looking at me

"Love you too" I replied sarcastically

"So...?" She waited for my reply

"I...I...met up with Chan on Saturday..." I said in a low tone

"WHAT?!!" I don't know where everyone lives but if someone from the other side of the world heard a 'what', yeah that was probably Sehee.

"Shh...!!!!" I covered her mouth

"And? What happened? She eagerly asked

"You...you were right.." I sighed

"About what" she knitted her eyebrows together, twisting her head slightly, confused about what I was talking about

"About Chan..." I exclaimed looking at my feet

"It was him?" She asked in shock

"Yes..." I said biting my lip

"AND? What happened? She curiously asked

"And...long story short, I saw him, he saw me, we talked for about five minutes and then I left the cafe. I haven't talked to him since and nor I will"

I said the small version but knowing Sehee she wanted to hear every small detail and convienved me on telling her everything until we arrived to school.

"Time for class...! Stay strong and I'll see you at lunch okay?" She assured me and went on her class.

In the first four periods it was like I wasn't even in class, not listening a small bit from what the teachers were saying.

The bell rang and of course it was time for lunch

"Over here" I heard a familiar voice calling me. Sehee.

"Coming"

"So....how was class?" She asked as we sat down

"Like she knows...she was dozing off the whole time" Subin who was with us on the lunch table, with his friends, exclaimed teasingly
