A Model's Diary

Chapter 1: The Letter

"Tessa, you got a box in the mail," my mom said throwing the box to me and rushing past me

"Um... thanks but where are you going in such a hurry?"I asked moving out of my mom's way so she wouldn't run me over

"I forgot to pick up Maya and Billy from school," my mom said frantically running out the door. I ran up the stairs to my room and pulled down the ladder to my loft. My room had a pull-down ladder that leads to a loft above my room so that's where my bed and most of my stuff is the room under that is my "living room" it has a couch and some chairs and things of that nature. My dad left a few years ago so there's a lot of room in our house that's why I was allowed to have my room like that. I put my stuff down on my bed and walked over to my desk I then sat down and opened the box there was a letter and I opened it the letter read:

Dear Tessa White,

Congratulations you have been chosen to be the new cover model for Glow modeling we would love to set up a meeting with you to discuss your job and possible dates for your first shoot. Please contact us with this email or number we would love to set up a Skype call with you. We hope you will enjoy the little gifts in the box thank you Glow modeling.

I put the letter down on my desk and walked back downstairs not seeing what else was in the box. As I stepped off the last stair Maya and Billy walked in licking ice cream cones.

"Hey, mom?" I asked walking over to the cabinet and grabbing two bowls and two spoons.

"Yeah," she said taking off her shoes and sitting down on the couch in the living room.

"Can Bailey come over?"I asked picking up the bowls and spoons and walking over to the stairs.

"Sure," she said yawning and turning on the tv. I walked up the stairs and into my room I placed the bowls down and texted Bailey to come over. he was there a little less than 10 minutes later he knocked on my bedroom door

"come in", I said jumping off my bed and turning down my music, I was listening to Halsey

"Tess where are you?"Bailey said looking everywhere but up

"Up here" I chuckled as he walked up the pull-down stairs

"Hey cutie so what's this thing you have to talk to me about," Bailey said sitting down on my bed I giggled as he kissed my cheek

"Well I got this letter in the mail and I think it's a scam," I said getting up and grabbing the letter off my desk. La La by The Cab started playing as I sat down next to him again and handed him the letter. he looked at the envelope and the letter for what seemed like years but was really only a few minutes.

"Tessa this isn't fake", he said looking into my eyes

"Yeah ok Bailey", I said waiting for him to tell me that it was fake because we always prank each other so I thought this might be one of his pranks but he sat there with a straight face

"Tessa I'm not joking this is a real letter" I took the letter from him and went over to my desk. I sat down and opened up my laptop. I typed in Glow modeling and a lot and an official website came up. Wow, I thought to myself I'm going to be a model. Bailey walked over and put his hand on my shoulder

"I told you it wasn't fake," sweetheart he said turning his head smiling at me. I turned my head and pecked him on the lips then I got up and opened the mini fridge in my room I took out ice cream and put it into the two bowls we sat on my bed talking and eating the ice cream

"Bailey, can you do me a favor"?

"Sure girlie" he smiled at me

"Don't say anything about the modeling I don't want anyone to know yet" he smiled and pecked me on the cheek
