Silver Lining

Chapter 1

Jonathan's Pov-
I'm Jonathon Teal, I am 17
and I am the beta of the Blacks pack, the strongest pack in America. Currently I am walking around the border of our territory with Andy, the alpha and my best friend. We do this every night, before we go to bed. Make sure or territory is safe that is. Jonathon it seems like everything is good, if you want you can head to the house I'll be there shortly. Andy told me in our mind link. Okay? You coming back also?
No. I'm meeting with Alex. The alpha of the Gaskarth pack.
Okay Alpha goodnight.

With that I ran to the pack house and up to my room. When I made it to my room, I shook and transformed back into human. "Time for a shower." I whispered to myself. After a nice shower, I dried off and went to bed.

-beep beep beep-

I opened my eyes and groaned. "Time for school." I quickly got dressed and ran to the bus stop, saying a goodbye to Andy. A few other members from my pack were at the bus stop along with a few members from other packs and humans. As the bus arrived everyone loaded on and took their seats.

When we arrived I went to my locker where my best friend Samantha Jackson, who is part of the Gaskarth pack, was waiting for me. "Oh my god did you hear we got a new omega last night!" She said, in a whisper yell tone of voice.
"Really?"
"Yeah herb name is Leah, she's 16." Samantha practically yell. I laughed at her excitement then calmed her down.
"Samantha calm down. I'll talk to Andy to see if I can come over and you can tell me about her." I told her laying a hand on her shoulder. Luckily for us Andy and Alex are best friends, so they usually don't mind u visiting the other pack. Samantha grinned widely at that and nodded her head enthusiastically. "Great idea!" She screamed then got but off by the bell for homeroom.

After running to homeroom, to insure not to be late, I sat in my usually seat and put on music. Jonathon! I can feel them! Theyre somewhere near!
My wolf, Slash, said to me. Who slash?
Mate! I can sense them near! Possibly in this building somewhere!
Okay Slash. We can talk to Alpha about it. You know how he wants all wolves to report when we sense our mate. I told Slash calmly.

The rest if the day went like that. Slash screaming excitedly in my head about our mate, and him whimpering when I told him that we had to wait to find them. Eventually I had to cut communication off with him so I could focus on my school work.

Right before the last bell was going to ring I quickly mind linked to Andy. Alpha, may I go to the Gaskarth house and hangout with Samantha? Samantha has already asked Alpha Alex and he said it would be okay.
About a minute later, as the last bell rung. You may, but you must report to me when you have arrived at their house. I linked a quick thank you to Andy and met Samantha in the hallway.

"Alpha told me that we must ride the bus today, even though he's coming to the school. He wants to pick Leah up her first few days here." Samantha told me when I saw her. "So that's why I felt an alpha presences here." I told her laughing.
"Yup. He also said that if Leah was comfortable enough than you can meet her today, but not to pressure her into it. She has already met Alpha Andy." Samantha continued explaing as we boarded the bus. I nodded my head listening carefully to what she was saying. Even though Alpha Alex isn't my alpha, I still have to follow his orders.
