2. I lost my heart in marine drive

Bunty sat down with his head in his hands. "This is insane" He said after a silence of 5 minutes. I chuckled.

"Tell me all about it" Bunty said

I told him how on the traffic light, where I distribute food to the needy, I saw a girl singing & dancing in her car to the tune of the radio. The innocence on her face was captivating . I told him about the small moment we shared when she showed me a thumbs up after I did my bit of charity. I felt proud of myseld after getting an approval from her. It felt similar to getting your first salary.

"That's it? What do you think love is? An aadhar card? Where you show your thumb to get verified." Bunty asked

"No! There's more to it"

I went on telling Bunty how I thought of roaming for a while on marine drive. I had forgotten to put my helmet on & people (girls) recognized me. They came running after me & I ran away. I somehow managed to hide behind a tree & wear my helmet. I came out of my hiding spot & rested for a while.

That was when I heard that girl shout 'Helmet Hero' & I recognized her .... I even gave her a nickname 'Car Singer' . We talked for a while & something pinched her because of which she started crying. My heart felt pierced by a dagger when she cried. Then I cheered her up & she sang her own composition which was so beautiful. When we said good bye for the day I didn't feel like moving I am longing to meet her now also.

"I think I should say yes to India's singing sensation I'll get to see more of new talent ... It'll be fun"

"Uh-Oh!" Bunty said " Mouni Roy's manager had called & I said that you won't do it"

"Because you hadn't said yes"

I slapped my forehead!

"It's not too late" Bunty spoke again "The manager said that if Dev sir changes his mind he can inform Mouni ma'am today by attending her party tonight"

I pulled Bunty along with me & made him sit in the side car of my antique scooter. We looked like Jai-Viru of the movie Sholay.

As I began driving the cool Mumbai breeze started hitting our faces.

"Dev" Bunty shouted "Kuch gaa na!"

Finally we reached Mouni's party. Bunty pushed the boxers aside & we gate crashed at Mouni's party.

"Mouni!Mouni!" I approached her. I was still panting "I'm sorry there is a misunderstanding. I had to say yes to this show"

Mouni lifted a glass of red wine in her hand & in a perfect poise said " I knew it no one says no to Mouni Roy ... Come the media is waiting for the judges of India's singing sensation season 1 outside."

"The media is already here!" I was shocked

" Yes! The judges getting along with each other at Mouni Roy's party will be a big headline & will fetch TRP" She said & went to Jennifer & Mohit to take them along for the press meet!

"Bro she is fast" Bunty said

I went with the other soon to be judges & we posed in front of the media

At Bose House, Sona's POV

Elena shouted my name in my ear & woke me up.

"Look at this Sona" she was almost shouting "The judges of ISS are partying together..."

"So?"

"So nothing ... It's a breaking news thats why I told you!"

"Accha"

I tried dozing off to sleep again.

"Sona! Listen na" Elena woke me up again

"What is it?"

"Go to the auditions tomorrrow please I know you'll rock it"

"No Ele ... Baba doesn't like all this stuff ... I'm not auditioning"

"If you won't go for yourself then please come to support me atleast"

"You?" My face was by now a mirror of my confusion

"I want to participate!"

"Baba won't agree" I reminded her

"You'll support me or not?"

"I will" I rolled my eyes and tried catching my lost sleep again.

Elena squealed in excitement & crushed my bones because of her tight hug.

Precap - I saw a guitar lying there in the dark auditorium ... I couldn't control myself so I clutched it & played the tune of Hasi Ban Gaye & soon the song took over the atmosphere as I got lost in the music while singing it!
