It's been three years since you were last in Riverdale, three painfully long years... You had to move to Seattle because your mom got a job there. Now, you were moving back because you wanted a fresh new start. You had no friends back in Seattle because the school you went to was for rich people, but you weren't rich, your mom was. Everybody there had diamond earrings, gold necklaces, but you? You just had an all black attire, ripped jeans, and a flannel was basically your outfit everyday. It didn't bother you though, you loved your style. No one bothered to be your friend. In fact, they all made fun of you. You decided to take matters into your own hands, you told your mom about it. Your mom respected you and she loved you more than anything, she was chill. So, you packed all your things, and moved back to the place you loved, Riverdale.

Y/N POV:

"Honey, you excited?" asked my mother.

"Of course, I get to see my old friends! People who actually respect me instead of those bullies back in Seattle." I replied.

I was so excited to be moving back to Riverdale. I have people who care about me here, and it was all I needed!

My mom parked the car right in front of our new house. It was huge, like, huge. I can't even explain it.

"I'll get packing, you can go hang out with your friends if you see them!" My mother said.

"Really?"

"Yeah, it's been a long time...Go! Have fun!" I smiled, my mom always cared about me. She was such an awesome parent.

It's been hard without my dad, he left when I was born, and he decided to have a new life without my mom and me. It's okay because I have friends and my mom.

Riverdale was always a safe place for me, millions of nights with Archie, Betty, and Jughead. Jughead was my closest friend. Everyday, we played in his treehouse, I'd sneak out and my mom never caught me.

Loads of memories were came back to me as I took a walk. I saw a blonde ponytail that seemed oddly familiar.

"Betty?!"

"Oh my god! Y/N! You're back!! It's been so long!" she said as she gave me a hug.

"You look so different, Betty!" I was shocked.

There was two people beside her, surely I recognized of them.

"Archie?"

"Y/N! Hey! We've missed you so much." he hugged me and I realized that the years had done him good. He was cute, but not my type.

"Oh, I forgot to mention. This is Kevin, he's gay." said Betty

"Pleasure to meet you!" I said.

"We're going to be best friends!" He replied.

After what felt like an hour of reuniting, I finally left to go to Pop's.

The familiar ding of the bell made me remember all the fun times Archie, Betty, Jughead, and I had here. Pop's was like our second home.

I saw a familiar figure with a grey beanie, it was Jughead. He was typing away.

Wow he looks pretty great. Wait, what am I saying? He's my best friend.

I was interrupted by a "Hello" from an old man behind the counter.

"Hey Pops! A vanilla milkshake and some fries, please." I said.

"It's on the house since you're finally back," the old man replied.

"Oh wow, thanks!" I smiled.

The booths were full so I decided to reunite with an old friend of mine.

--Time Skip-
I carried my milkshake and my fries.
"Jughead!" I shouted as I sat across from him.

He looked at me and grabbed some fries.

"Uhm, I'm busy here." He replied.

"You can't make time for your best friend?" I joked.

He lowered his laptop.

"What do you need?" He said, biting his lip, having a blank emotion.

"I just wanted to talk... I am back, and for good this time."

"K."

What was wrong with him? Shouldn't he be happy that I'm back? Did he WANT me to leave?

"What's wrong, Juggy?"

"Don't call me that, that's reserved for my real friends," he grabbed some more fries. I smacked his hand as he glared at me.

What?

"Okay. I don't know what's going on here, but you're being stubborn."

"Are you serious? You broke a promise. A promise that you wouldn't leave. You broke me, Y/N, you broke me."

"... I couldn't do anything about it, Jughead. Is this seriously my fault? If I could've done anything about it, I probably wouldn't have moved!"

"Liar."

I shook my head and ran out the door.

Great... My childhood best friend hates me now. This is the start of a great year.
