Ch.15

A lady walks us over to our table and it was in the back with candles on it. I smile at Daniel and kiss his cheek.

He pulls my chair out for me and pushes it in. He is such a gentleman, how did I ever deserve this guy?

D: so baby how has your ankle, arm, and wrist been doing?

J: well my wrist is getting taken off tomorrow... arm is still on for another 4 weeks and ankle is another 2 weeks...

D: does it hurt at all?

J: not unless I bang them off of things... which I've done before.

D: have you been taking your pain pills for your back?

J: my back doesn't hurt anymore so I stopped

D: I can tell

J: oh really?

D: for some reason those pain killers made you very sexual

J: was it the pain killers?

D: well you haven't tried to shove my dick down your throat in a week so yeah...

J: we...

I get cut off because the waiter comes and takes out orders. I get a chicken sandwich with fries. Daniel gets the chicken salad with vinaigrette.
(They aren't vegan, I dunno what this cafe serves because I'm in Pennsylvania 🤷🏼‍♀️)

D: finish your sentence

J: well I wanted too

D: oh really?

J: yeah, contained myself

I smirk at Daniel and he flashes his white teeth at me. I feel myself blush so I hide my face.

D: don't hide your face.

Daniel reaches over the table and lifts my head up. I feel myself blush again and try to hide my face again. He tilts my chin up and kisses me.

I hear a click and I look over. We both see a 13 year old girl with red hair taking pictures of us. She squeals and rubs back to her parents.

D: I drove an extra hour and we still get noticed...

J: Daniel it's ok.... she didn't ask us for pictures or anything, she took them instead...

D: it's hard to get alone time with you...

J: Daniel it's ok... we are always home alone together, even if we are with people I consider it alone time because I'm with you, that's the only important thing

The waiter comes with our food and he cheers up a little. Damn I didn't know Daniel was this upset about me being noticed in public...

After dinner

Daniel tells me to wait behind with my back turned so I don't see what he is doing. I pull out my camera and start talking to it.

J: Daniel told me to stay over here. So he is just setting up the fire I'm pretty sure but I don't know.

I stop recording and put the camera in my back pocket. Daniel tells me he is ready and he walks over to me. He puts his arms around my waist and I start recording again.

J: are you ready

D: yeah I'm ready

He kisses my cheek and he holds my hand. We turn around and start walking to the area.

J: you have candles? Why do you have candles?

D:why not?

J: you're stupid.

We make it all the way to the area and I gasp. A fire pit, a blanket with candles around it. Daniel kisses me and I kiss back.

J: I'm gonna have to turn the camera off.

I turn it off and Daniel is already laying down waiting for me. I carefully step over the candles and lay down next to him. I look up at the stars as he cuddles me.

I look him in the eyes and my heart melts. I'm falling in love with him harder than I was in high school. Nothing has changed in our love, but we are a lot more stable. If I could I would hit myself everyday for leaving him. We were teenagers that had a baby on the way. Of course we were going to fight a lot and stuff like that.

Daniel tilts my chin up and kisses me. I kiss back immediately and he rubs the back of my neck. I hum slightly and pull away. I put my head back on his chest and look at the stars.

J: I love you Daniel

D: I love you too Joey

A/N: this is based off that date they had recently... I cry every time I watch that I swear
