Trey exchanged Demi's rose gold phone for his silver one and read through all of the texts and emails from his management. Rehearsals for the European leg of his tour were supposed to have started a week ago, but Trey kept pushing them back and he was almost to the point of cancelling because there was no way he could just leave Demi. Not right now. If strip clubs and fans rubbing on his chest didn't make him an asshole, leaving after one of the worst days of her life absolutely would. She had friends, she had family, and she had support all over, but it just wouldn't feel right if he wasn't there for her. So, tour would have to wait. The BET performance that he should've been rehearsing for at that very moment would have to wait. It will put his career in jeopardy and his label will be pissed, but Trey couldn't care less.

Two weeks ago, Trey had left a sick Demi at home to go to the club after she practically demanded that he did. His last warning to her had been to lock her doors and turn her alarm system on. Was it ironic that the one time she actually did listen to him was the one time that her house got broken into?

Broken glass. That was the first thing that Trey saw as soon as he opened the front door of Demi's house. There was broken glass all over the foyer, the door had been cracked open, and the alarm system was off. The first thought that ran through Trey's head was Demi, so he didn't waste any time running up the stairs and nearly breaking down the door to enter her room. Sprawled across the king size bed with her hair fanned out across her pillows and her duvet covering half of her body was Demi. Even if someone did break in, Demi probably didn't hear it considering the fact that she could sleep through an earthquake (this did actually happen one time).

"Babe," he whispered, sitting down on the side of her bed. "Baby, wake up." He gently shook her until she started to stir, a low groan leaving her plumped lips as she shifted her body so that she was laying on her back instead of her stomach.

"What?" She whined as she opened her eyes, then instantly shut them. Trey stood up and closed her curtains for her before sitting back down next to her.

"Demi, what did I tell you about locking your damn doors and turning your alarm on?" She was unharmed but what about everything else in her house? Someone had clearly gotten in here and she didn't even know.

"I turned the alarm on last night," she mumbled as she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes.

"No, you didn't."

"Trey," she sighed, throwing her hands down on top of her comforter. "Yes I did because I broke that vase downstairs and Batman got mad at me. Now can I please go back to sleep?"

"Demi, the alarm was off this morning and the door was unlocked."

"But I really did lock the door and turn on the alarm..."

Now she was awake. Besides Trey and her dad, no one else knew her alarm code or had a key to her house. Well, Max did. But Max was paid to protect her and he wouldn't have to break into her house to get in.

After realizing that someone had to have gotten into the house, Trey did a sweep of the house to make sure that nothing was broken, then went to her guest house where all of the security stuff was set up. They checked her cameras from the time he left to the time he came back, and Demi's blood ran cold when at 10:44 pm, someone unlocked her front door, turned off the alarm system, and proceeded to stay in her house for the next six hours. And she hadn't even known it. As soon as Trey saw someone enter, he called the police. They questioned them for hours on end but all Demi kept saying was, "I was asleep. I was asleep. I was asleep." She hadn't said much since, and she hadn't been back to her house either.

Demi didn't stay to go through the rest of the security footage but Trey did. And watching the videos made his skin crawl. Some dark-haired man with circle rimmed glasses and a disgusting beer gut had been creeping around Demi's house for six hours. At one point, he had the audacity to enter her room, stand over her bed and take a picture of her sleeping, but Batman and Robin had scared him off. Too bad that noise hadn't woken Demi up. He left shortly after.
