Georgie's P.O.V
"Ow!" I complained as Teddy twisted and pulled my hair. "What are you doing?"
"Making your hair pretty," she replied.
"No," I told her. "You're making me go bald by pulling all my hair out."
"Stop complaining will you?" she sighed. "The boys will be here any moment now."
I sat there silently grimacing as she kept pulling and twisting at my hair. After about five minutes of sitting there in pain, she finally stopped.
"Taa daa!" She exclaimed.
I looked in the mirror. She had made a swirly French braid on the back of my head and stuck a pretty pin into the side.
"Wow."
"You're welcome Georgie," she cooed. "Now come on. I think the boys are waiting downstairs."
I slipped on a pair of elegant heels which was the same pink as my dress. Teddy and I glided down the stairs of my house and were greeted by both my dad and Carol. My dad smiled when he saw me.
"Well look at you," he said, "All grown up. You look just like your mother."
I looked up at Carol to see what her reaction to what he just said would be. It seemed like she didn't hear it. She's probably just elated by the fact that my dad is now back with her again.
"Have the guys arrived yet?" Teddy asked. Was it just me or does she look kind of worried?
"No not yet," Was the reply.
After five minutes had passed Teddy began to pace back and forth. "Where are they? Actually, don't reply that. Who knows where Rufus could be driving off to."
"Don't worry dear," Carol said trying to comfort Teddy. "I'm sure he'll be here any moment now."
After ten minutes of more pacing and nail biting, Rufus' car finally pulled up at the front of our house. Teddy automatically stormed out the door as Rufus started getting out of the car. A string of insults blasted out from her mouth towards Rufus. Louis hopped out of the back looking a little green, but still attractive. He ran up to the doorstep.
"I'm sorry I'm―Sorry we're late," he corrected himself as he continued apologising. "I'm so sorry Mister Parlour, I didn't mean to make you worry."
"Oh it's fine," Carol replied.
Louis' eyes flicked towards her and for a moment he looked even greener than he did when he stepped out of the car. Even though he says things are fine between him and Carol, I guess some things will just never be the same again.
Rufus walked towards us with a very angry looking Teddy clinging to his arms. "Sorry we're late. We got a little hungry and decided to stop for some food."
"Uh, not we got hungry, it was just you that was hungry," Louis corrected looking quite irritated.
"Yeah, and I also wanted to find out if Louis screamed like a girl or would hold it in like a man," Rufus adds.
"So he decided to go speeding down the streets if Quentin," Louis retorted slightly angry.
Teddy and I cracked up laughing. Dad and Carol didn't seem to find it that funny.
"Well you kids better get going," dad finally said. "Have fun. But not too much. And no more speeding."
We hopped into Rufus' car and were soon bumping down the roads of Quentin to our school where the seasonal formal was being held.
