It was a beautiful summer day, perfect for a dip in the sea. The warm sun spread through out the lonely beach. Some wind blew, making the palm trees rock back and forth.
Amanzi yawned, squinting as the sun was shining through her bamboo curtains and hitting her face. A sigh escaped her lips, as she tried to get up from her yet comfortable bed. She swung her fragile legs to the side of her bed as a attempt of getting off. She blinked for a moment, and sniffed the oh too familiar scent. 'Eggs and toast!'
Amanzi jumped off and skidded down the hallway. She took a sharp turn and went inside the small kitchen they had. "Good morning, my ray of sunshine. How did you sleep?" The fisherman, or her dad, asked softly. He was very kind and loving, he wouldn't dare be rude to anyone. "I slept good! Oh, I can't wait to go to the waters again. How fun would it be!" She smiled to herself, dismissing her dad in front of her.
He chuckled and put his hand on his hip. "You sure love going to the sea, don'tcha? Just like your mother..." He muttered the last part quietly. Amanzi didn't pay attention because she was too busy daydreaming. He grunted and shook his head, passing a plate of eggs and toast to Amanzi. Her head perked up, having a grin placed on her face. She swiftly ate it all in a few minutes. "Thanks pop! The food was great, bye! Love ya!" She kissed him on the cheek and ran out of there, speeding to her room again. "What a peculiar girl.." He said to himself and started washing the dishes that were left.
Amanzi hummed a song that her brother always sang to her. A las, he couldn't come with Amanzi because of college and all that. She made her bed, also making sure everything else was tidied up. Amanzi shut her door, grabbing her bathing suit and slipping it on. Her brown hair was tied up into a ponytail and she then smiled to herself in front of a mirror.
She stared at herself for sometime and felt a wave of loneliness. She missed her friends, the rest of her family, her past life. But, she had to move. For her own safety. Amanzi heavily sighed and puffed up her chest. "You have to stay strong, Amanzi! Don't let yourself go down!" She said to herself. After some self time, she walked out. Amanzi looked at her surroundings, noticing that her dad wasn't anywhere to be found. It was just sand and lots of palm trees. 'Must've went out..' She shrugged and walked towards the water.
The waves slowly crashed onto the sand, making it look a dark color. The breeze smelt like salt, but Amanzi thought it was relaxing. All in all, the atmosphere was peaceful. She looked forward, the sun shining on her face. Amanzi was now standing in front of the water, letting it wet her feet. She slowly walked in, feeling the small shells under her feet and the cold sensation of the salty liquid.

She then dove in the water without hesitation.
