The Phone Thief

Chapter 2

I was startled by the bell that dismissed us from class I jumped out of my seat, literally. I realized it was already lunch so I grabbed my bag and walked to the cafeteria. Of course on the first day of school the food would be gross. We had a pasta thing that had to much sauce. Next to the pasta was a cold, soggy, garlic drenched piece of bread. Ew. I went to sit down with the food debating if I should eat it... Nope not eating it. So I decide to grab my book and just read for a while. I felt people come sitting at the table I was sitting at. Then I felt an arm around my shoulders. I sneered and looked up and guess who it was, Collin. Gosh does he not have anything better to do so he decided to come annoy me.
"Collin get your arm off me before I rip it off and choke you with it." I say with a fake smile.
"Awe someone's feisty" he says with a smirk. Oh how I would love to slap that smirk off his. Wait, I can't but he can...I grab his arm and throw it at his face it mostly hits his nose but he didn't seem to care.
I had enough of his annoying face I put my book in my bag. Grab my bag and food he didn't notice I had food in my hands because he grabbed my arm pulling me towards him. I trip and throw the food on his face. The pasta falling down his face. I couldn't tell if it was the pasta sauce that made his face red or if it was because he was really really upset. I didn't waste a lot of time to see what he did next because I turned and sprinted for the schools doors. I heard footsteps behind me. Now I was running for my life afraid Collin would kill me and then hide my body. I finally got outside an ran to my bike. I could see him behind me but I didn't care I rushed and put on my helmet. I started it and road off I heard him in the background of my bike saying,
"I will get my revenge!!! This isn't over!!!! This means war!!!!" I heard him yelling other stuff but wasn't that clear. I decided not to drive home because I felt like going somewhere. I headed to my best friend since childhoods house. Teddy Jenkins. He is 1 year older than me but I'm more mature than him. He was one of the cute guys in high school. Every senior girl and occasionally guys last year wanted to get with him. All of them hated me because they thought we were dating just because we spent every single minute together except for when he had different classes. I drove into his drive way. Thankfully his parents aren't home. I opened the door and am relieved by the nice fresh lavender air.
"Teddy?!" I yell, "It's Cat",
"Hey I'm up here" he yells back I run up the stairs to his room. I see him on his computer doing his school work. He is a freshman in college, he is doing online school because he is to lazy to drive to a campus and he doesn't want to go move there. I run and jump on his bed. Gosh his bed is so comfortable. I lay there for a moment taking in the fresh smells of his room.
"What do you need?" He asks raising his eyebrows at me,
"Do I need to have an excuse to come see my Bestfreind?" I say in a mockingly hurt voice and put my hand on my chest,
"Yes you do especially if it's during school hours" he says and I sigh,
" I maybe...kinda...accidentally...umm spiltmylunchoncollin" I say in a quite voice but not quite enough because he heard me,
"YOU WHAT" he says with his eyebrows raised at me.
"I spilt it on him and he was really mad so I ran and now he is gonna try and get revenge on me. And... Yea pretty much sums up everything." I say.
"Your dead" he says,
"Not if I have you" I say winking at him,
"Oh no don't drab me into this" he says raising his hands up,
"Please Teddy I need help protecting myself" I say with a pouty face. He shakes his head,
"Nope this is between you and Collin I'm not getting in the middle of it" he says,
"Fine but can I crash here until he chills and calms down?" I pout with puppy dog eyes,
"Fine but you know my mom won't let you stay for long unless your moms ok with it." He says.
"DEAL" I yell.
