Prologue
*Note: To limit confusion, the story will be told in present time by the main character (Reign). When the scene is wrapped, she will tell the story in past tense.
After that night, my life had changed forever. My children growing up without a mother replayed constantly inside my mind.
"I'm not supposed be here!"
No one could here me, nor see me. I screamed and yelled at the policemen. I tried moving something.
"All I saw was blood, my purse, and a hand. The wedding band intact."
How could someone be so cruel? I always wanted to be the best in life, but my past has traveled to meet me at lightning speed.
Now I sit here inside a court room standing trial for a murder that I did not commit. I sit here with wounds and psychological trauma from an attempted murder to my person. Yet no one wants to hear what I have to say. It disgusts me to know that I'll never be the same again. I'm stuck in this wheel chair for six months.
