Oh, honestly, don't you two read?

– Hermione Granger, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

N O T E

If you can guess why I used three moons for this, then I'm going to give you a shout-out and dedication in the next chapter.

Not gonna lie, the answer is pretty hard and that's because the meaning behind the chosen moons is deep.

Nonetheless, I will reveal the answer at the point of the book when it is right. :)

Enjoy

Scorpius could never stop trembling against his father's shoulders whenever they would wait for the Hogwarts Express.

It was a bitter-sweet feeling really; the excitement of returning back to a school filled to the brim with magic and witchcraft, but there was also this unsettling feeling that perhaps Albus would decide not to be his friend this year, that maybe Albus will realise that a Malfoy was always bad news – a curse.

"What's wrong Scorpius?" His father asked, Draco's pale eyebrow rising up in question, but his specks of concern were scattered across his eyes. "Something the matter?"

Scorpius shook his head, attempting a smile. "Nothing wrong father, just nervous I guess. I haven't heard good things about third year from last year."

Draco smiled wistfully, gently ruffling Scorpius' pale hair. "Third year wasn't so bad if I remember clearly – I mean there were Dementor's and we even had a werewolf as our Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, but other than that, it was jolly."

Scorpius gulped. "Dementors?"

Draco nodded. "And we can't forget Sirius Black, who at the time was a wanted –"

"Scorpius!"

Both Malfoys snapped their heads, and it was only a matter of a seconds before Scorpius was racing to the other side of the station, practically beaming before engulfing his best friend in an enormous hug.

"Albus!" Scorpius said, grinning as his lanky arms released the black-haired boy. "It's been ages!"

Albus grinned toothily, but there was always a quirk of insecurity etched into it. "I know! I haven't seen you since James' birthday party!"

"Albus! There you are! The Hogwarts Express leaves in five minutes and your bloody suitcase is already falling apart!"

Scorpius' heartbeat clogged his throat. He knew that voice. And before he could get his breathing straight, Rose Granger-Weasley stomped her way to the two boys, arms crossed and eyebrows furrowed.
