Annabeth x Mortal!Reader || Distractions

Okay, so I kind of just took a bunch of ideas and shoved them all together to get this mess.

   [F/N] [L/N] was always an excellent student; studious, determined, fierce, and respectful were the most evident traits that [Y/N] was comprised of.

   Being the most academically successful student in the school, [Y/N] had a future at Harvard if they kept this up.

   Unfortunately so, thought, distractions were swarming their mind as Annabeth Chase stepped into the room.

   [Y/N]'s eyes instantly shifted from the board to the girl and a small smile loomed over her features.

   The blonde, thought, must of sensed eyes peering at her as she turned to face [Y/N] and gave them a small smile.

   Another problem, [Y/N] thought, Annabeth has a boyfriend and was and always will be out of their league. Annabeth was far too popular and beautiful to even consider being more than just simple acquaintances with them.

   Sighing quietly as the love-stuck [Y/N] tried to direct their attention back towards the teacher in a suit of black with a red tie hanging from his neck, speaking about quantum physics quickly.

[Y/N] jotted down notes quietly as her vision shifted from the teacher to Annabeth and vice versa frequently.

   This went on for quite a while before starting to zone out. At this point, the teacher had called [Y/N]'s name out loud and told them to answer the question and to get their head out of the clouds.

   [Y/N] stumbled on words for a second, looking at the board.

   The board presented a drawn out equation relating to quantum physics. "Schrödinger equation!" [Y/N] said. "It's the Schrödinger equation."

   "Good, now what is the Schrödinger equation?" Asked the teacher.

   [Y/N] quickly started to explain it, saying, "the Schrödinger equation is a mathematical equation which shows and describes the changes over of a physical system over the courses of time, which the quantum effects, like wave–particle duality," [Y/N] took a breath and smiled at the teacher.

   The teacher nodded quietly before saying, "correct, good job [L/N]." Which just caused you to smile more.

   Soon thought, class had ended and you were packing up your things, getting ready to head to next class when Annabeth approached you.

   "Hey, [Y/N]," she said. "You did good today, not even I knew about Schrödinger."

   [F/N] [L/N] grinned at the other and said a quick, "thanks!" Before Annabeth walked off. And from then on, [Y/N] realized that they wouldn't mind so much being distracted by Annabeth Chase.

Annabeth might not know the Schrödinger equation, and was impressed by [Y/N] but the real question is why do I know the Schrödinger equation? They never taught us it in school yet. I mean, I am a mere eighth grader, well, until six more days at least.

Also I wasn't satisfied with this ending but oh well.
