Chapter 4: Adrien Agreste (Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir)

"I haven't been to one. My main goal is to become a fashion designer, but I really love watching animations." You explained. From there on, the both of you kind of clicked. You talked about drawing and comics and animations. You both agreed the comic books were the best types of books. You also argued over which parts were harder to draw, facial expressions/facial features or positions/angles/hands.

Soon the bell rang, announcing next period. The both of you talked and walked to the next class. In science, you and Nathaniel paired up together and things went quite well.

After school ended you and Marinette talked on the way back home.

"So, I see you and Nathaniel talking. I thought that you two would be good together. You both have several similarities and there are many things that I thought you could talk about." Marinette grinned.

"Yeah, yeah. Nathaniel really gets me. And how about you? With Adrien I mean." You smirked.

"There's no point in hiding it, huh?" Marinette blushed and hid her face with her hands.

"Yeah, no. But I think that Adrien doesn't like you back." You replied, suddenly serious. You didn't say this to be mean. Or out of jealousy. It was more because you didn't want to ruin the storyline of Adrien being Chat Noir and liking Ladybug, whereas Ladybug, as Marinette likes Adrien.

"Oh. You're probably right" The blue haired girl slumped a little in disappointment.

"You should keep trying though, he thinks of you as a friend for now, maybe he'll develop feelings along the way?" You comforted.

Marinette didn't say anything.

"Changing the topic, what happened? I was in the washroom, but you weren't there. And then you tell me to lie and say that you were in the washroom." You asked her.

"Oh. I just . . . went to the other washroom at the other end of the school. So technically I did go to the washroom. But, like it was easier to assume that we were both there . . ." Marinette stammered.

"You can tell me anything, you know? I'm really good at keeping secrets." You urged.

"I, uh, don't know what you mean." Marinette said, looking away.

"Fine, then let me guess what is happening here." You began. You pretended to think really hard. "You're Ladybug." You concluded.

"What?! No, that is ridiculous." Marinette lied, laughing a fake, too loud, laugh.

"Well, then where were you? I know that you weren't at the other washroom because when I got lost, I needed to wash my hands after touching something disgusting. No need to lie, just tell me you're Ladybug." You challenged.

"Okay, okay. I'm Ladybug, but not so loud okay?" Marinette conceded, lowering her voice.

"I knew it! So, what's it like? Being a superhero and all? You'd think someone would have noticed your disappearances by now." You faked excitement.

"Well, it is really hard, actually. But I'm glad no one has found out." Marinette admitted.

"So, who's this Dark Raven person?" You asked.

"How do you know about her?" Marinette asked.

"Adrien mentioned Dark Raven in class today." You replied.

"Apparently she's been doing the superhero biz all around the world, which is pretty hard to believe. I think she might be a fake. I don't see any traces of an Akuma or anything though. Dark Raven is quite experienced though, she managed to talk it out with the Evillustrator! Have you heard of her?" Marinette explained.
