Chapter 4: Adrien Agreste (Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir)

"Well, he's nice and-" Marinette began before getting cut off by her mother.

"Time to go girls!"

Marinette immediately ran up stairs, probably to get her bag and the pink purse she carries around. All of Marinette's things were pretty and, of course, you knew that she made them herself. You decided that you got paired up with Marinette since you also wanted to become a fashion designer.

You grabbed the paper bags, slipped into your combat boots and held the door open as Marinette came running down.

"Let's go!" Marinette said.

When you got to the school, Marinette got a lovesick expression on her face. You followed her gaze and saw Adrien talking to Nino.

"I'm going to go talk to him." You declared and walked towards him with Marinette trailing behind.

"Hi, I'm Y/N. I'm an exchange student from Canada." You greeted and stuck your hand out.

"Oh. Hello. My name is Adrien Agreste. Welcome to Collège Francoise Dupont." He shook your hand.

"Are you rooming with someone?" Nino asked.

"Yeah, I'm staying with Marinette." You nodded, jerking your thumb behind you.

"H-Hi Adrien." Marinette waved timidly.

"Who's this?" Alya asked.

"I should probably make some introductions." Marinette said.

"This is Alya, the boy in the glasses is Nino, the guy over there with the red hair is Nathaniel, the girl with the purple ends is Juleka, the girl with Juleka is Rose, etc. . . ." Marinette introduced you to all the other students in your class that you already recognized.

"Well, it's nice to meet you. I'll be doing my introduction in class, so hold the questions." You replied.

"Um, who are you? Adrikins, who is she?" A familiar voice asked.

"Um, hi Chloe, this is the new exchange student, Y/N." Adrien replied simply.

"It's nice to meet you, Chloe." You said and stuck out your hand.

"Look newbie, my name is Chloe Bourgeois and my daddy's mayor of this place. So learn your place okay?" Chloe replied, ignoring your hand.

"Your daddy's mayor huh? Don't tell me you're going to bother him every second of the day just to complain about some little thing that you want or don't like. Your daddy's got important work to do, and you should probably leave him alone and learn to take care of your own problems. Or else your daddy might not be mayor anymore." You said with an attitude.

It might have been because you were annoyed with how no one was talking back to her in the tv show. It might also be because you wanted to show her and everyone else how different you are. Or maybe because you just wanted to complain.

Chloe's mouth hung open for a few seconds. "I-I. Ugh. Let's leave these weirdos to themselves Sabrina." Chloe mustered and walked away, with Sabrina behind her.

"Wow, you didn't seem the least bit intimidated by her." Marinette remarked, awed.

"Intimidated? Maybe by her make-up, but Chloe does not have any power over me, and she shouldn't have any over you guys either." You replied with a laugh.

Just then the bell rang and as students filed in, a dark, violet Kwami appeared. It looked like a bird, a raven maybe?

"You know who I am, and what I am. But not the reason why I'm here." It said.
