Abby laughed as Josh left for another table. "Anyway, that means you won't have much free time after school, right?"

I nodded. "Most probably. And maybe even on weekends too."

Abby pouted at me. "Then how are we supposed to hang out?"

"We can still hang out on my free time. Besides, I still don't know my schedule. I'll have it tomorrow, I guess."

"Hey, hey! What if your student turns out to be a really hot guy?" Abby asked excitedly with sparkling eyes. "Say, Noah Bush? Or Eddie Ryans? Ooohhh! That is so gonna be cool."

I laughed without any humor. "Oh, please. No matter how hot he is or not, he is still my student. I am the teacher. And the teacher teaches the student about school stuff. So there you have it, hot guy studying."

Abby snorted. "Geez, Meggy. You're boring. I wish I could be a part if it too. Too bad my grades won't let me. Sometimes I envy you smart people."

"Shut up!" I laughed. "The tutoring center is for studying, not for flirting."

Abby waved her waffles in front of me. "Who knows? You just might find an interesting guy in there. You might even fall in love in there. Then it's gonna be, Megan Fields' tutoring center love story."

I laughed. "Abby, seriously, you are the Queen of weird ideas. Besides, this hot guy of yours just might be a she. You're really hilarious."

"Well, we will see tomorrow. Call me as soon as you have your students' name." Abby winked at me and I just shook my head. Abby really never runs out of weird ideas.

"Excuse me!" I said as I entered the tutoring center the next day. The size of the center is just about the size of the other classrooms. Only there were no armchairs but round tables and chairs. There's also these drawers were they file past exams and reviewers student-teachers can use in their tutoring. There's also lots and lots of books in here. This is probably one of the neatest and most organized room in the whole school.

"Hi!" a boy's voice came from behind me. "Megan Fields, right?"

I turned around to see Jess McAdams, our school president. "Uh, yeah." This is actually the first time I have ever spoken with Jess. I always see him around and he always gives speeches on different school activities, but this is the first time I saw him at this distance.
