The Uno-ing

Valt huffed out an annoyed breath as he drew four cards from a neatly stack of uno cards. The mini table he sat in front of slowly irritating him due to everyone being able to watch his failure up close.

This was what, the third time now where he had to draw cards without putting anything down.

Everyone playing at the table thought it was so very funny to watch Valt helplessly draw cards. It all started with Daigo, who was sitting a little ways away from him.

A harmless one time thing right? Wrong! For as soon as that simple +2 card was placed down another followed the next turn, and then a +4 the turn after that! Where was Rantaro and all his skips and reverses that he had earlier?!

Rantaro himself found the drawing of cards hilarious. Though his laughter was rocking him around he kept his cards hidden from sight, two cards away from winning.

"Seriously Daigo? I would expect something like this from him." Valt said, pointing an accusing finger at the blonde. "But from you? Why?"

The Doomscizor blader merely shrugged.

That's how the game went. If the cards were good enough to do damage to the other players then why not use them to save yourself?

"Ha! Don't worry too much about his cards, Valt. You should really be worried about the cards I have. Now..." Rantaro smirked as he looked to Daigo, a sparkle of interest in his chocolate colored eyes.

"Blue."

Sitting up straight, Rantaro slammed a wild card atop the cards already revealed, yelling uno, followed by slamming a yellow skip atop his wild.

"That's game! I win!" The Roktavor blader happily announced, biting down on his lolipop.

Valt stared at the placed down cards in shock. An unspoken 'uno' sat trapped at the back of his voice.

That victory went by so fast!

After a moment more of staring at the cards, Valt finally tore his gaze away to look at the blonde.

"That's not how you play Uno with a wild! You're supposed to place the card down say 'Uno' and then wait for like a few seconds before putting another card down!" Valt stated when he found his voice. His cards had been thrown down on the table close to Daigo somewhere during his talking, body raised in a stiff standing position.

The Doomscizor blader shook his head as he gathered the discarded cards, listening to his friends bickering.

Insults were thrown back and forth between the blonde and bluenette.

It took almost five minutes for the arguing to have finally died down. Valt being the one to have dropped the argument.

"You two shouldn't get so worked up over something so small. Just accept the defeat and move on."

The friends grew quiet at the comment.

Sure Uno was a harmless game and all but it was still a battle. A battle to get rid of all their cards before anyone else. In a strange sense it could even be compared to a bey battle.

The two games were similar in more wats then one. Like how at least two players needed to play in order to make the game more interesting. Also how both involved taking turns for special moves to attack or defend themselves from their opponents. Plus the added yelling and screaming that would occasionally occur.

However the two were still different in many wats at the same time.

While Uno consisted of swapping cards, drawing cards, and skipping turns, bey battles went in all on their own. There were no helpful cards or supporters to be used in the arena. Just special moves to attack and counter with the passionate hearts of their bladers.
