"Only until you're of age to make your own decisions and I can't stop you anymore. It's for the best, Jimin. Do I need to send for you or are you going to listen to me?"

He lets his words break as he speaks. "We don't want to get married now, we're waiting! We are. Mom, call them back. Tell them it's okay and we will wait!"

"I'm not doing that. You can see Jungkook when he heals, when he comes back to school. Or, you can come here and live with your family. Choose."

"This isn't fair."

"Life isn't fair. Say goodbye to him, have Hoseok's mother call me when you get there."

She hangs up the phone, her final words still ringing in Jimin's ears. He can't believe she's changed her mind so abruptly. What happened? She was upset, but it was okay. She was going to talk to Jungkook's parents and work something out. Did she even try?

Jimin circles his arms around his legs and buries his wet face in his knees. Everything was going to be fine. He can't wake Jungkook, not to say goodbye. Goodbye. He can't do that, the word hurts to think of it.

An hour passes quickly as Jimin watches his boyfriend sleeping peacefully, the man unknowingly happy to be going home when he wakes. Jungkook stirs in his sleep, blinking his eyes open and he groans into the silent room. He looks to Jimin, curled into the chair beside his bed and his smile falls.

"What's wrong?"

The tears he used so much effort to cease return to Jimin's irritated eyes. "I can't go home with you. My mother isn't giving me that choice anymore. I have to go back to Hobi's." He rambles the cruel onslaught of information off to the sleepy man before him, voice rough from crying.

"Wait, what?" Jungkook rubs his eyes, blinking quickly to better focus his vision. "Mochi, no. You have to come home with me."

Jimin shakes his head. "Baby, she told your parents that we can't get married. She told them that I'm not ready, and they believed her. They won't let us be together anymore."

"We're not going to marry yet, we still have time to work everything out for ourselves. Didn't you tell her that?"

"Of course I did. It doesn't matter. For some reason, the idea of me being forced into a marriage with you by your parents is a big concern for everybody but myself. I don't get to choose what happens to me." Jimin bites at his bottom lip, hard enough to taste metal.

"Somebody else is concerned about us marrying?"

Jimin nods. "Hobi. He told his dad about it, that's what caused all of this, baby."

Jungkook presses his eyebrows together, forehead creasing as he absorbs this new information. He wonders briefly why Jimin hadn't told him about what Hoseok had done already, but dismisses it for now. It's not his most pressing issue. "But, Mochi. You.. You're not going to stay with me?"

"She threatened to send for me if I don't go back to Hobi's tonight."

"But, what does this mean for us? When will I see you again?" Jungkook's eyes are wide now and he reaches out to grip Jimin's knee, pulling him closer.

Jimin looks down, his breath hitching. "When you come back to school, when you're better, bunny. It's your parents, they don't want us to be together if they don't think we're serious about us."

"Fuck my parents. I'm serious about you."

"Me too." Jimin wipes at his eyes and he leans closer to Jungkook. "I don't want to say goodbye, baby."

Jungkook shakes his head, forcing the other to look at him. He sighs, finally coming to an understanding of the severity of the situation and how drastically it soured. His eyes are serious, pained. "You're not saying goodbye, because even its messed up right now, I'm going to fix it. We're still together, Mochi. Don't say goodbye to me."

"I want to stay with you and make sure you're okay. I need to see you get better. If I can't do that, it feels like goodbye."

"It's not, and this won't last. My parents.. My dad, he doesn't understand a lot, but I'm not going to give up. We'll be together. You said you trust me, right?"

Jimin nods. "I do, but ba-"

"Just, trust me."
