Time
ha
n
g
s,
Taut,
A gossamer thread,
That links the living
And the dead.
Do not hesitate, prevaricate,
Each step you take,
Each sound you make,
Burns the fragile candle
At both its ends.
Step forward boldly;
Rail at life's injustices
Give, and receive love
In equal measure.
Be wise
And seek no pleasure
In the demise of others.
For time
Is not yours
Or mine,
But we can design
To use our time
To best effect.
