|Heeeeyyy I finally got around to rewriting this thing|
Geno sat on a small patch of grass within the dark savescreen, humming an old lullaby that he knew as he nuzzled the scarf around his neck, which still had the dust of his brother. He took a flower from the grass patch and stood up, beginning to wander the ‘endless’ void aimlessly. After who knows how long, he face planted right into a ‘wall’, cursing to himself quietly as he stared into the darkness. “Since when were there walls…?” He sighed a little, curiously running his hand along the ‘wall’ as he walked from there. So he was basically trapped in an actual box? He could just barely see the dim light of the screen options as he looked back to where his grass patch was. “Maybe I’ll..” He trailed off to himself, subconsciously knocking on the cold, but smooth surface.
“Who’s there?” Responded a rather confused sounding voice.
Geno yelped as he jumped back slightly, quickly coming up with some sort of joke, like any Sans would’ve. “U-uh.. Little old man..” He said a bit hopefully as the voice hesitated a second. “Little old man who?”
Geno chuckled as he responded chirpily “that was a pretty bad yodle.” The voice cracked up at that as Geno smiled to himself and leaned against the wall, having ended up talking with the voice for however long. He was smiling as he listened to it quietly echo through the void-like box, chuckling every now and then. “Hey, I don't think I ever got your name..” It questioned slightly as Geno perked up. “O-oh, right, I’m Geno-” his last thought was interrupted by the sound of leaves crinkling, as if the voice were to stand up. “Well, it was nice talking, Geno, but I gotta leave.. I’ll come back again, I promise.” Geno nodded subconsciously as he smiled. “Alright.. I’ll be here then. Knock for me to hear, would you?” The voice chuckled softly in agreement. “Sounds good to me, pal.”
Geno had completely forgotten about asking what the voice’s name was, having only remembered that he still held the single flower that he picked earlier from his grass patch. He placed it right on the ground to remember where the spot was as it suddenly froze, the petals and stem becoming translucent, as if it had become a stained glass figure. The little white lotus stood right up on its stem as if it were still alive. Geno looked at it quizzically but didn’t bother it as he smiled, having a sense that it wouldn’t wilt like that while he started to walk back towards the dim light of the save screen to his patch of grass. “I wonder what this would mean..” he hummed out to himself, smiling softly as he could still hear the voices’ soft tone still echo in his head. He sat down on his grass patch once again as he rolled over onto where his belly would be, if he had one, being a skeleton of course. He nuzzled into his arms as he closed his good eye, soon falling asleep peacefully.
