Chapter 1: Double Trouble

Miko loved being with the bots, but there was no action there. Only when she snuck and followed the bots, but she'd get yelled at after words. She wished she could do something other than sit around.

She had walked out of the school building with Jack and Raf. "I can't believe you didn't get detention." Raf said. Miko huffed and crossed her arms. They sat typically sat waiting for the bots to come and pick them up. "Ugg! It's just going to be another boring day!" Miko groaned. Jack and Raf rolled their eyes. Miko looked around and noticed a small group of kids just sitting around doing nothing in particular. She watched them for a while. The one and only male in the group had turned her direction though not looking at her. He had a strange necklace. Miko squinted at it. It seemed to be a mix of the Autobot and Decepticon symbols. "Jack, Raf, look at this." Miko said as she took a quick photo. "What?" Jack asked. "The boy with the blueish, purplish hair has a necklace that's a mix of the Autobot and Decepticon symbols." Miko said pointing, and trying not to get noticed. Jack and Raf took a closer look. "Yeah, your right." Raf said. "Did you get a pick?" Jack asked. Miko crossed her arms. "Yea think?" She asked. "Just asking." Jack said. Soon a girl with blue hair with red tips walked out of the school and the group left. Then the bots came to pick the kids up.

"Hey, I have something to show you bots." Miko said when they had gotten to base. "What would you like to show us?" Optimus asked. Miko pulled out her phone and showed them the picture. "The necklace he's wearing, look at it." Jack said, worry in his tone. Ratchet and Optimus took a look at it. "Seems odd for a group human younglings to have necklaces like those." Ratchet said. Optimus nodded in agreement. "What do you think this means?" Raf asked. "I am not sure Rafael." Optimus said. Miko smiled knowing what she would do tomorrow. The main computer started beeping. The bots run over to see what it was. "Decepticon activity. Looks like an energon mine as well." Ratchet said. "Ratchet open a ground bridge, we're going in." Optimus said. ::And hopefully bring back some energon too, right?:: Bumblebee asked. Optimus nodded. Ratchet opened a ground bridge and watched Miko out of the corner of his optic. "Autobots transform and roll out!" Optimus called out and they transformed and left.

Miko looked at the picture. "Not going to follow the bots? That's a new one." Jack said placing his hands on his hips. "He looks familiar." Miko said ignoring what Jack said. "Who?" Raf said. Miko showed Raf the picture again. "I don't know why, but it's like I know him or something." Miko said. Jack and Raf cocked their heads. "You probably have seen him in school." Ratchet said. Miko huffed and rolled her eyes. "Have not!" Miko retorted. "It's like, ugg how to explain it!?" Miko said slumping into the couch. Jack and Raf were still confused. "AHH! I can't explain it!" She yelled and grabbed a remote. "Who wants to race?" She aksed. "Me!" Raf said grabbing the other remote. "I guess I'll wait my turn." Jack said. Ratchet shook his helm and focused on the screen. He started to wonder why the children Miko, Jack, and Raf had shown them had necklaces of mixed symbols. "Raf." He called. "Yes!" Raf said trying to beat Miko. "When you have a chance, can you please send me the photographs you had taken." Ratchet asked. "Okay!" Raf said, his virtual car almost at the finish line. Ratchet looked back at the screen and waited for Optimus' orders.

Not long since the bots left, did Optimus call back. "Ratchet. Open a ground bridge." Optimus said. Ratchet opened a ground bridge without saying a word. Optimus and the others came in, holding crates of energon. Ratchet looked at them and had a small smile. "Just what we need." He said. Optimus nodded. After the crates of energon were put away, the base was really normal. Raf had been sending Ratchet the pictures. "Okay. That should be all of them." Raf said. Ratchet looked at him and nodded, then went back to work. "Time to go!" Arcee called out. The three, especially Miko, ran down the stairs. "You shouldn't be running down the stairs." Ratchet said. "Sorry." Raf said. Jack sighed and Miko crossed her arms. Once the bots had been on their way to the children's houses, Ratchet pulled up the pictures. He took a closer look at the necklaces and had the computer run a sensory scan. The scan had detected that necklaces had been Cybertronian technology. "Optimus." Ratchet called. Optimus walked over. "Yes Old Friend?" Optimus asked. "Take a look at this." Ratchet said. Optimus looked at the scan results. "Hmm, this is odd indeed." Optimus said. Ratchet nodded. "By why on Cybertron would human younglings have Cybertronian technology as necklaces?" Ratchet asked. "I do not know." Optimus said.

~The next day~

Miko looked around the school if she could spot anyone from the group. She saw the female with the blue and red hair and ran over to her. "Hello!" Miko said. The girl turned around. "Hello." The girl said. "I'm Miko." Miko said. "I'm Opal." Opal told her. "I love you necklace, where did you get it?" Miko asked, investigating. "Oh, um.........My father had given it to me when I was a baby." Opal told her. Miko cocked her head. "Wow. Your father must have loved you a lot then." Miko said. Opal nodded. "He was the leader of a secret government agency, but they said he had DIA during a top secret mission." Opal said. "I'm so sorry." Miko said. "Don't worry about it. It was a long time ago anyway." Opal said. Miko cocked her head. Then the bell rang. "Oh, got to go." Opal said before leaving. Miko got to her class and sat down. Amazingly on time this time. Jack came in noticing this and walked over to his seat. "You're hear early." Jack said. "Well, that because I talked to one of the kids. I'm guessing she would be the leader. She said she had gotten her necklace from her father; and that he was in some sort of secret agency." Miko told him. Jack looked at her. "You really talked to one of them?" Jack asked. Miko nodded. "Hmm, I still wonder where they had gotten it." Jack said. Miko placed her head on her crossed arms. "Me too." She said. "Alright class, lets begin." Their teacher said.

Later on, the kids walked out of school. The same group had been waiting there. "I'm gonna talk to them." Miko said. "Miko wait!" Jack said, but was a little late. "Hello there!" Miko said loudly. The group looked at her. The same male walked up to her. "Hello. Who are you?" He asked. Miko looked up at him. "I'm Miko." She said. "I'm Soundtrack. That's Nightsteel." He said. "Hala!" Nightsteel said causing Miko to laugh. "That one is Meta." He said. "Hello! How are ya?" She asked. "Fine. Youself?" Miko asked. "Just right." Meta said. "And the little one here is Ricochet, though we call him Shortcakes." Soundtrack said roughing Shortcakes hair. "Hi." He said. "Do you guys know Opal?" Miko asked. They nodded. "And here she comes." Meta said. Opal walked over. "Hello Miko." She said. "Hia!" Miko said. "You guys all have the same necklaces." Miko now realized. Opal nodded. "It would seem that we have some similarities." Opal said. "What do they represent?" Miko asked. They looked at them. "It represents where we come from." Nigthsteel said. Miko looked surprised. 'They're from Cybertron!?'' Miko asked in thought. "Hey, maybe we can show her!" Shortcake said. Opal and Soundtrack looked at him. "I don't know about that." Soundtrack said. "Hey, Miko, can you keep secrets?" Opal asked. Miko looked at her. "Yeah!" Miko said. "Okay, we'll show her. Miko, please, don't tell anyone what we're going to show you." Opal said. "O..........kay." Miko said, confused.
