"mark i hate to stop our conversation but there's another reason i came with jaehyun." mark was all ears. "i want you to show him pictures of ten."

so this is the big thing taeyong spoke of.

"oh uh sure. i still have the one you two took and a few others." taeyong didn't look up from his lap although he felt jaehyun burning holes into his side. mark left his spot to bring jaehyun his outdated phone.

"just scroll. you're in ten's picture folder so don't feel hesitant. no weird pictures will pop up." jaehyun managed to force out an uneasy chuckle. he wasn't all too positive he wanted to see what ten looked like.

taeyong peered up from his lap to see jaehyun stiff, his thumb hovering and quivering above the screen. "mark i'm getting a snack." he announced.

jaehyun watched taeyong storm into the kitchen. he inhaled deeply and found the push he needed to begin scrolling.

jae could see why taeyong fell in love with ten. just from scrolling through the pictures on mark's phone he could see the liveliness and youth he possessed. and he was cute, adorable even.

taeyong's eyes shined when posing with ten. jaehyun could feel the love and connection they had. he could only imagine what it would be like to lose someone like ten.

although his mind was screaming at him to look over the pictures one last time taeyong refused. instead, he opted for staring blankly at his random snack he pulled out of mark's cabinet. the pictures would only stir up more emotions, he couldn't handle an abundance of them right now.

"taeyong... he was—" jaehyun tried to find the right words. "beautiful. i can see why you would fall for him."

mark smiled sadly, taking his phone back into his hand. "he really was. there was never a dull day when ten was around. his smile will always be my favorite attribute of him. just seeing it made you want to smile with him."

taeyong pushed himself off the counter while clearing his throat. he didn't want to hear any more talk about his deceased lover. no more reminiscing. new page, he reminded himself. "if you've seen enough, let's leave now."

mark pouted. "already? stay a bit longer. i miss having you around." tae ruffled up mark's hair lovingly.

"we have business to attend. the sooner it gets done the better." mark's shoulders slumped as he walked the pair out to the street. "be good mark. i'll keep in touch. you have my number now. call me whenever you want."

they began walking after mark waved and retreated back into his house. jaehyun didn't like the silence between him and taeyong but he knew better than to try and start up the conversation.

he was appreciative taeyong did this knowing how hard it must have been. to put ten, his one and only love, behind him. "jae... that must have been awkward as hell for you but thank you for doing it."

"anytime tae..." with a swift movement jaehyun found his hand intertwined with taeyong's, the sudden action catching him off guard.

"hope you don't mind."

"n—not at all."

to taeyong, walking away from his past with jaehyun hand in hand left him feeling confident that soon, everything will fall into its rightful place.
