Chapter One

I woke up resentful. I just wanted to stay home all day. The early morning sun filled the room like water fills the ocean. I hate mornings. They just mean I have to face people and their judgment. I just want to get away from everything. The stress, the schoolwork, the hate, everything. Sometimes I feel like never getting up. Just staying down and sleeping forever.
I finally got enough motivation to get up and go to my bathroom. There I took my daily shower while sitting down feeling the hot water downpour on my back and breathing deep. I got out and brushed my teeth.
I have my own bathroom because I'm an only child and my parents have their own master bathroom.
I got dressed and went down stairs. This is my daily morning routine. I ate a banana and went to school.
I don't wear makeup. When I do it's GOOD! I only do it when I feel like it. I usually don't because that's a lot of work for someone who is going to see all the people that hate her.
I got to school and Alexis my best friend came up to me.
"You're going to a party with me this Friday."
"Do I have a say?" I asked
"Nope, you're going."she answers.
"Why?"I ask.
"Because you need to get out of that bedroom. Also, when I pick you up, wear something that's not black and put makeup on. Look nice."
"Ughh... why would I want to see the people I hate willingly? They are all gonna judge me anyway." I say.
"Oh, shut up. You're going and that's that." She states.
I just get my stuff and go to class too tired to argue.
———————————
Its 6th hour (aka English) and suddenly I get a note from someone. I know who would pass me the note. Cameron Dallas. My crush ever since 4th grade. Don't judge me. We've been talking for 2 weeks now.
Coming to the party Friday??
       Yes or no
Yes, unfortunately. I'm being forced.
Aww... you didn't want to see my face more?😔
Its not your face. It's everybody else's.
I send it back and don't get a reply. Then my phone buzzes. I'm too lazy to check now. Plus the teacher is staring straight at me. I ignore the stare and go back to work.
—————————
I get home and check my phone. It's a text from Cameron.
From: Cameron
Are you free this Thursday?
I internally scream. I screenshot the text and send it to Alexis. She replies right away.
From: Alexis
Go get him, girl. You've waited long enough.
To: Cameron
Depends. What do you have in mind?
I get a reply in what feels like the same second.
From:Cameron
I was thinking I take you to dinner. There's just one thing missing in my plan and that's you.
I feel like my heart skips. Cameron fricken Dallas is asking me on a date.
To:Cameron
I think I can arrange that.
From:Cameron
I have a question...
To:Cameron
Ok... go on...
From:Cameron
Can we like... hold hands tomorrow at school??
To:Cameron
Are you sure? I don't want your friends to think less of you.
From:Cameron
Idfc what they think. I'll just be happy that the prettiest girl in the school will be by my side holding my hand.
To:Cameron
Then yes, I'm gonna go to bed. I'm tired. Goodnight. Sweet dreams.
From:Cameron
Goodnight beautiful.
And that's how I ended my night. With a smile on my face.
