Chapter 36 : Relationships

I was getting ready for another day at boring PS 13 all I could do was think about my sister Cori I really feel bad for her and I think what my dad did was unacceptable how could you leave your daughter for another woman which was my mother. My mom didn’t even know he was married with a child so this whole situation is weird. I'm the only child so I don’t really have anyone to talk to the day my dad took us to Cori's party he said it was his nieces party which I didn’t understand because we were going to find out anyway. I would have been upset if I was in Cori's place too. I saw my dad sitting in the kitchen drinking his coffee while reading his daily newspaper.

“Dad? I asked

“Hey Sweetie good morning” he grinned

“Why'd you walk out on Cori I mean you just left and then had me and now I feel all funny about this wholes situation I feel bad when I look at my sister or half sister whatever” I said

“It's too early to talk about it you're too young to understand” he snarled

“Dad, I'm 14 years old it’s obvious what you did I can’t believe you would do such a thing, what are you gonna do walk out on me too” I yelled

“I messed up Christina, I messed up really bad I wasn’t happy with my first wife and I fell in love with your mother and left my daughter behind and not looking back at all. I didn’t even tell your mom I was  married and had a daughter so I did her wrong too, I was being a low down dog but your mom forgave me and I want Cori to forgive me too I just miss her so much” he said crying

“I'm sorry dad I didn’t mean to make you upset” I said walking over to hug him

“I broke my daughter's heart into pieces she didn’t deserve that” he said

 I was in the cafeteria sitting by myself I thought about what Cori told me I'm always going to be a loner if I don’t make friends so I decided to get up as soon as I got up I saw three girls come up to me.

“You're Cori's sister Christina right” this girl with curly blue hair asked

“Yea how'd you know? I asked

“Cori told us when she came to the assembly” she smiled

“Why would she tell ya'll?”  I asked

“You ask a lot of questions” she laughed come on Nala and Taylor sit down

They sat next to me and they began talking to me and I really liked it I felt relieved because I didn’t look like an awkward emo girl that's probably crazy.

“Yea I can't stand his gorilla lookin ass” I laughed

“Ha' you're so funny” Blake laughed bending down getting her phone that dropped

When I looked down her back was bruised very badly.

“What happened to your back” I asked curiously

“Girl I fell on my back yesterday” she laughed

I saw Nala and Taylor look at me like she was lying I figured she didn’t want me to know so I dropped it. After lunch they walked me to class.

I was at work helping Payton work off her baby fat.  She was telling me how her baby father was in jail. And he doesn’t get out until 2016 I felt bad for the girl. She told me that he was in the wrong place at the wrong time he was at a small gathering and his homeboy friends began to shooting and when the police came he was accused of being a part of the situation. We even flirted a little bit I looked at the time and it was going on 4. Cori and I were supposed to be going on a date to dinner and a movie and I forgot.
