Chapter 10 : Say what now ?

Cori 
Last night was a trip man Chres and I got into our first argument. Was I looking forward to it? No but all couples fight, no relationship is perfect. It was so intense; I've never seen him so angry before a part of me was mad because it was never my fault. He was the one that accused me but I guess I did cross the line by calling him a bitch. My male friend Derek from high school always told me you can call a man whatever you want but never call him a bitch or he'll lose it. Being the risky dare devil, I took the chance to push his buttons to see how far I could go .Was I scared? Nahhhh… ok maybe a little, even though he was so aggressive and angry I was so turned on. And then he put it down like no other I was being punished and I love it...... Ummm um um !

Last night was crazy, I saw Cori go crazy yeah I admit I was wrong I said sorry and she put me in my place but I damn sure but her in check too. She thought she could call me a bitch and act like nothing happened. Oh No No No ! Did I handle that? Hell yeah but I can't even lie Cori looked so sexy when she was angry I had to just take control and show her who's boss. I had to rip that white dress off that hugged her curves perfectly. Rough makeup sex yeah I like that ;)

7am 

Cori cell phone rings it was her favorite cousin Sydney on the phone crying.
"Hello" Cori says half sleep 
“Cori.... I'm sorry to wake you up so early but I need your help”. Said Sydney 
“Don't cry Sydney please tell me what's wrong?” she says 
“I got laid off  I'm about to be evicted but I have a new job I just need somewhere for Skye and Carter to stay it's only temporary maybe a week or two until I can get my money up and then I can just buy a place real quick” . Syd says
“Wow Sydney … I don't "
“Please Cori I can't have my babies suffering” said Sydney 
“You know Austin is away in Iraq and I'm not talking to my mom” said Syd 
“Okay they can come” said Cori 
“And I'll just give you my EBT card for them so you won't have to pay a thing” she said
“Ok when ? said Cori
“This Friday” said Sydney 
“Ok, I'll tell Chres” she said
“Ok thank you so much cousin” said Syd
“You're welcome anything for family” she said

Later that day 

Cori 

I was just finishing my studying up for my business class I can't believe I just agreed to watching Skye and Carter . They're good kids it's just I have to work and school I don't really know how I can do this but I also have to remember Sydney has been there for me since we were in diapers. I'll never forget the day before prom when I was released from the hospital she had me set. I wasn't prepared for my prom I had my dress and shoes but hair and makeup wise was tragic but she stayed up all night doing nails and feet , eyebrows , facial , sew in etc you name it and she helped me so much with my confidence and me being the lady that I am now . So I have to help her it's only right. As soon as Chres comes home from working out I'll talk to him.
Chres walks in and places his keys on the counter and sees Cori with her hands through her hair. 

“Hey baby! he leans in to kiss her
“Hey , umm sit down I have to talk to you” she says
Ok wait if it's about last night I didn't get you pregnant did I * he winks *
“Umm no but for real sit down” she says 
He sits down 
“Wassup ? he says
“Ok so my older cousin got laid off she has twins Skye and Carter boy and girl and she asked if. They could stay with us for the holidays and I said yea” she says quickly
“We'll damn you could of asked me” he says annoyed 
“See it was in the middle of the night and you we're sleep I didn't want to wake you up
She has a EBT card so we really don't have to worry about food they can sleep in the living room” she says . 
“Uhh I don't know Cori, I don't even know them what if they don't like me? He says 
“Don't worry they will , plus we can be parents for a week in a half *she smiles*

Chresanto 

I guess the kids can stay here for a week, When Cori's face glowed up when she said parents for a week I couldn't take that joy away from her . Who knows if we'll even have kids together in the future but I was definitely gonna let Cori have fun . This should be interesting.
“Fine we'll do it” he says
“Aww thanks babe” ! She jumps up and kisses him 
“Yea Yea Yea! What day? He asks 
“This Friday” she says nervously 
“Friday? That's five days from now” he says 
“Yea and I was going to take off this whole week so I can watch them” she says 
“Ohh so you gonna be my housewife for a week ? Cleaning, cooking, and having sex I may like this” *he winks * 
“How about  no *she laughs * You thought it was, I'm not your damn housewife” she says 
“You'll be soon though” *he winks * 
“Awwwww” she says blushing 
Let me call my supervisor 

Later that evening I called my manager telling him I had an family emergency and I won't be able to work. He very understood surprisingly, I mean I am one of his best employees. Even though I'm a cashier I do most of the work sometimes I'll even make a couple of coffees when the line is out of the door. Moving on I got a phone call from my Dr. Eliza she called me but I must have been busy she left a message honestly I'm scared to listen to it. 

Hello , Ms. Cori this is Dr. Eliza , I was calling to let you know that I got some of your blood work back and you don't have to get a surgery as of now everything is fine . I'm going to take you off of some pills. And I know the last time I met you I made you really upset and I want to apologize again. Have a nice day and I will see you in a couple of months. Bye! 

Cori was so happy that she stormed out of the room and jumped on Chres back 
“Cori what the hell? He laughs 
“Guess what? She says 
“What? he says smiling
“My doctor called and said that everything is fine, I don't need a surgery” she says excitedly  
“That’s great babe! I'm so happy for you 
He sits her on the counter and wraps his arms around her waist 
“My Cori! He says and begins to frown
“Aww baby, what's wrong? She says
“I just want you to be happy I really hate to see you suffer , he lays his head on her chest and sighs 
“Chres you know I have my good and bad days but I have you that makes even my worst days feel brighter . You're always there when I need you and your the only person that can calm me. And I love you for that” she says
“really? He says 
“Yes your my number one supporter besides my mom * she laughs* 
“Awwww” he says 
He grabs Cori and spins her around 
“I love you” he says 
“I love you too” she says




Friday 

Chresanto 

Me and Cori are about to get these kids, I hope they aren't bad bebe kids and I pray I have the patience. I wonder how this will go though we'll see!

“Come on girl” he yells 
“I'm coming” she yells 
“Yea you better be” he says opening the door for her.
“You ready’ she says 
“Yea” he says 
We arrive at my cousin’s apartment an hour later I was a little nervous because I haven't seen here since I was 18 years old. When I knocked on the door she finally opened the door looking just as surprised as I am. 
“Cori is that you? She says
“Yes , Hey Sydney 
They both pause and hug each other which seemed like the longest 
“Damn Cori , you filled out I see you aren't a little twig anymore” she laughs 
“Yea I know ...oh this is my boyfriend Chres” she says
“Nice to meet you Chres” she shakes his hand 
“Nice to meet you too” he says
“Umm Cori no wonder where you got those hips from” she winks 
“Ohhh stop it” she blushes while Chres just laughs and winks 
“Kids ? She screams 
Skye and Carter start running to the living room 
“Come say Hi to your aunt Cori and her boyfriend they'll be taking care of you for a couple of days ok.” 

They both shyly wave 

“Here's their bags , the card is on the left pocket right with their insurance cards just in case anything happens .” She says 
‘Ok , don't worry I'll take good care of them” she says 
“Thank you again cousin this means a lot” said Syd
“No problem I know you would return the favor” she said 
After Cori and Sydney finished talking they buckled the kids in their cars and drove off . Out of the blue, Skye started to cry.

This is going to be a long week! Cori says

Come on honey stop crying, it's gonna be alright. She says 
Maybe it needs it pacifier says Chres 
It has a name Chres, Cori says giggling 
Oh my bad he says laughing 
I think he's homesick already he says 
Yea I think so too*sighs*
Later on we arrived in the house with the kids it was kind of awkward saying it, I wonder how everything's gonna work out is Chres even good with kids? Am I even good with kids? Here I am always complaining about how I want one and couldn't even shop Carter from crying. I just needed some time to think until I felt a small tap on my shoulder. It was Skye 

“Hey Skye! Said Cori
“Wanna play makeup ? She says giving me her makeup kit 
“Sure, I'd love to” says Cori
The rest of the night Cori and Skye were doing each other's makeup Skye looked like the princess she is leaving Cori looking a hot mess. Carter and Chres were just chillin watching the basketball game. Carter was laying on Chres lap 
“Win I grow up I wanna be a ba ball player” he says
“You do buddy? He says tickling Carter 
“Look like you too are having fun”. Cori laughs 
“Yea I wanna be a b ball player when I grow up” says Carter 
“You do? , she smiles 
“Uh huh” he says
“Imma princess” says Skye 
“You are ? Chres asked
“Yes me and aunty” she said 
“Of course you both” are says Chres 
“Are you all hungry? Says Chres 
“Yess , PIZZA , PIZZA ,PIZZA the cheer

“How bout we order some pizza then” he says
“Yayyyy! They cheer
“I think they have a favorite” he says 
Cori just giggled and rolled her eyes.
*phone rings * 
“Hey Sydney” said Cori 
“Hey girl, how's my little ones? She said 
“Umm they're fine Carter was a little homesick earlier but Chres is about to order some pizza and I guess we’ll just have movie night” she says yawning.
“Ok cool, girl you sound tired” Sydney said 
“I am Sydney, you know school and work has been killing me and my body” cori says
“Aww poor baby, I know Chres is doing that body right? Syd says
“We'll you know”she says beginning to laugh 
“Ok girl I'll talk to you soon ok” said Sydney 
“Ok , cori said
Later that night they stayed up with the kids watching movies and the sprout channel . They even made a little tent for fun. Who would have knew that they would have clicked so instantly with each other. 
BUMP
Ouch 
“Aunty Aunty’ Skye says running toward me
“Carter has a boo boo” she said 
Cori walked over to see Carter crying he scrapped his knee on the kitchen floor. 
“It hurts he says
Cori bent down to examine his cut 
“Carter I need you to be a big boy for me ok” , he says 
“Chres can you get my little first aid kit ! 
“Yea” he says 
Chres went into the bathroom to get the first aid kit. 
Thanks 
“Ok now when I place this magical liquid on its gonna make to feel all better” she says 
“Okay” he says as he stops crying 
She cleaned the wound with peroxide added some ointment then covered it with a band aid . 
“All better” said Cori 
“All bedder” said Carter 
“I think it's bedtime” said Chres 
“I'm gonna get them ready for bed” he said 
“Ok and I'll get rid of the dishes” she said
After he finished putting the kids to sleep he creped around Cori .
“I saw you out there, super aunt” he smirked
“Yea I try” she giggled
