In the 15 years Josh recovered slowly from the attacks of Val and Aniya. When he recovered he went back to playing hockey. When Alex was in and out of hospitals for her health he made sure he was right there with her. When Alex got out of the hospital when she was 19, Josh proposed, and they were married at age 20. Josh went on to playing professional hockey, and stayed with Alex when she needed him.
